Colleges and universities are the important places for talent training,among which teachers' teaching ability is a key factor which affects teaching quality.As an important part of the undergraduate college teachers,the teaching level of young teachers will directly influence the quality of talent training in China.Therefore,how to effectively improve the teaching ability of young teachers in undergraduate universities has become one of the important tasks for the sustainable development of colleges.Under the circumstance that Jiangxi Province has vigorously developed higher education,constantly introduced young teachers in recent years and its number of young teachers has steadily increased,the cultivation of young teachers' teaching ability has become a hot issue of research.Therefore,it is of great significance for this paper to focus on the development of young teachers in undergraduate colleges and the way to improve their teaching ability.This paper is based on the research of some young teachers in four undergraduate colleges(Jiangxi Normal University,Jiangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine,Jiangxi Science and Technology Normal University and Nanchang University)in Jiangxi Province.Using questionnaire surveys interview statistical analysis methods and combining the theory of teacher professional development,lifelong education,and multiple intelligence,the paper analyses the current teaching capacity of young teachers of undergraduate colleges in Jiangxi Province and finds that on the whole the young teachers of undergraduate colleges in Jiangxi Province have lots of differences in teaching cognition,teaching organization and operation,teaching monitoring,and teaching research ability,and the development of each individual is uneven.It turns out that although young teachers have a good command of teaching goals and modern multimedia teaching technology,their understanding and control of teaching content are relatively low,therefore lacking the ability to teach students based on their aptitude;besides,the establishment of teaching and research platforms and the systems of cultivating teaching ability in universities are not perfect.Also,insufficient attention is paid to the cultivation of young teachers' teaching ability;furthermore,young teachers have limited time and energy for teaching,which leads to a low level of teaching research and reflection ability.In view of the above problems,the paper analyses the influencing factors of the development of teaching ability from the perspectives of young teachers themselves,national policies,school training systems,and socio-economic development and draws on the experience of the foreign scientific development on young college teachers' teaching ability,hoping to provide an effective way to improve the teaching ability of young teachers in undergraduate colleges in Jiangxi Province.On the basis of continuing to improve the training system for pre-employment(postgraduate education),on-boarding(pre-post training),and on-the-job(teaching seminars,mentorship,lecture competitions,teaching reflection,etc.)training systems for undergraduate college teachers in Jiangxi Province,the paper further proposes to establish The system of attraction,support and driving force for the development of young teachers' teaching ability in provincial undergraduate universities.Among them,the gravitational system is the driving force for the development of young teachers' teaching ability,the assisting system is the foundation to promote the development of young teachers' teaching ability,and the driving system is the guarantee to boost the development of young teachers' teaching ability.With complementing with each other and promoting each other,the three systems work together to the develop and improve of young teachers' teaching ability. |
