Today,human society has entered the stage of modernization,higher education has formed a scale,and the "prophet" of society has been positioned as a university teacher by social division of labor and knowledge division,engaged in specific teaching,scientific research and other work in a specific field and region,and its growth path has also changed with the historical evolution,With the development of higher education,this deterministic evolution leads to the path dependence of the professional development of young teachers in local undergraduate colleges.Horizontally,the professional connotation of young teachers in local undergraduate colleges has gradually expanded from the initial teaching to professional and career related functions such as scientific research,social service,professional title and honorary title;Vertically,the professional development of young teachers in local undergraduate colleges and universities extends from the initial entry stage to both ends,from postgraduate and postdoctoral training to on-the-job training and lifelong education,and from simple training introduction to university teacher qualification certificate,talent introduction A series of institutional arrangements related to the professional development of young teachers,such as evaluation,employment and assessment.This series of elements gradually accumulated,changed and solidified in the path of young teachers’ professional development,forming a dependence on a specific path.Behind the formation of the professional development path of young teachers in local undergraduate colleges and universities is the result of the interaction between the professional law dominated by social division of labor and the professional law dominated by knowledge division of labor,and the rational autocratic orientation of knowledge division of labor and the value nihilism orientation of social division of labor strengthen the degree of path dependence,The two different orientations not only make the professional development of young teachers in local undergraduate colleges and universities contrary to the law in practice,but also make the will and behavior at the organizational level of local undergraduate colleges and universities fundamentally contradict the will and behavior at the individual level of young teachers.How to resolve,ease and mediate this contradiction,which can not only promote the professional development of young teachers,but also achieve the organizational goal of local undergraduate colleges and universities and achieve overall consideration,is a difficult problem in front of local undergraduate colleges and universities.By combing the historical development process of the professional development path of young teachers in Colleges and universities in the West and China after the founding of the people’s Republic of China,this paper defines the concept of the professional development of young teachers in local undergraduate colleges and universities discussed in this paper,states the connotation of path dependence theory,and analyzes the appropriateness of path dependence theory for the research on the professional development of young teachers in local undergraduate colleges and universities,From the perspective of path dependence theory,this paper interprets the causes and time dimension characteristics of path dependence at the individual and organizational levels.Combined with the qualitative research conclusions formed by in-depth interviews,this paper analyzes the current situation of the administration and involution of path dependence in the professional development of young teachers in local undergraduate colleges,and obtains that the breakthrough to solve the path dependence is the distribution rules and organizational learning,and then gives specific suggestions for the breakthrough of path dependence.At the individual level,we should improve teaching academic and teachers’ ethics and style,and improve the ability of scientific research innovation and knowledge innovation;At the same time,the organizational level should also optimize the development path,improve the distribution rules,and highlight the quality in the evaluation.
