Research On Occupational Adaptation Of Young Private University Teachers

Private higher education is one of the indispensable components of China's higher education system.For private universities,the development of the teaching faculty directly affects the quality of schools' teaching quality,and it plays an indispensable role in the sustainable development of private universities.Young teachers are the main force of teaching faculty in private universities,the high level of occupational development will help them finish their occupational work orderly.For the problems that appeared in the process of occupational development,they need to continuously adjust themselves and adapt to it.Thus,the high level of occupational adaptation will make the young private university teacher a better occupational development.Besides,it also helps to improve the teaching quality and market competitiveness of private universities.Judging from the existing researches on teachers' occupational adaptation,the researches mainly focus on the primary and secondary schools' teacher,and the mostly are do researches on the occupational adaptation of their early stage.So there are few researches on the occupational adaptation of private college teacher,and it is necessary to do deep into the related researches.In this study,53 eligible young teachers from the selected private university were selected as the research object,and the relevant data and information were obtained through a self-made questionnaire which named A Survey on the Status of Occupational Adaptation of Young private university teachers and individual interviews.First of all,the young private university teachers performed a general level of their occupational adaptation.Besides,the adaptation level from the highest one to the lowest one of each dimension are interpersonal adaptation,teaching and researching adaptation,psychological adaptation and environmental adaptation.From the research,we know there is discrepancy in different gender,age,education background,subject category and marriage.Next,this study will discuss the influencing factors of the young private university teacher which includes the teachers themselves,the private university and the social part.In the last,the feasibility suggestions will be put forward on the basis of analyzing the influencing factors,which includes the following parts: the teachers themselves needs to strengthen theiroccupational identity and exert their self-efficacy;the private university should improve the salary rationally,optimize the occupational environment;the social and related education departments should increase the emphasis on private education and promote relevant policy's function of guidance.
