| As an important part of China's higher education system,local undergraduate universities undertake the important task of training high-quality talents and providing services for local economic and social development,and play an indispensable role in the development of local education and economic society.New teachers in local undergraduate universities are the new force in the development of local undergraduate universities.Their occupational adaptation level has an impact on their career development and professional growth,and then affects the quality of talent training in local undergraduate universities and the future development of local undergraduate universities.The purpose of this research is to understand the current status of the occupational adaptation of new teachers in local undergraduate universities through investigation,analyze the problems existing in their occupational adaptation and the reasons behind the problems,explore the factors affecting their occupational adaptation,and put forward feasible countermeasures to promote the occupational adaptation of new teachers in local undergraduate universities on this basis.On the basis of literature analysis,this research uses self-designed questionnaire and interview outline to conduct a questionnaire survey on 328 participants who have been employed for three years of Hubei Province's new teachers' teaching ability improvement training class,a national training demonstration project for new teachers in 2017,2018 and 2019 undertaken by the Ministry of Education,and 9 participants are selected for individual interviews.Then this research uses SPSS25.0 statistical analysis software to conduct descriptive statistical analysis,independent sample T test,one-way ANOVA and LSD post-test on the collected data,in order to understand the occupational adaptation status of new teachers in local undergraduate universities,and explore the factors affecting the new teachers' occupational adaptation in local undergraduate universities.The research results show that the occupational adaptation of new teachers in local undergraduate universities is generally at the upper middle level.From the specific five dimensions,the interpersonal relationship adaptation of new teachers in local undergraduate universities is the best,followed by occupational psychological adaptation,teaching ability adaptation,scientific research ability adaptation is relatively poor,and occupational environment adaptation is the worst.According to the data analysis results and the information obtained from the interviews,this research analyzes the existing problems of new teachers in local undergraduate universities and the reasons behind the problems.In addition,this research also finds that the factors such as gender,age,marital status,type of graduate school(whether it is a normal type),professional type,educational background,teaching age,professional title and so on will affect the occupational adaptation of new teachers in local undergraduate universities,and analyzes these factors respectively.According to the survey results,this research puts forward feasible countermeasures to promote the occupational adaptation of new teachers in local undergraduate universities from three aspects:the government,local undergraduate universities and new teachers:the government should further improve the guarantee mechanism of university teachers' treatment,and establish and improve the training system for new teachers in universities;local undergraduate universities should provide material and spiritual support for new teachers,attach great importance to the mental health of new teachers,establish and practically implement the system of "pairing of teachers and apprentices",improve and strengthen the training of new teachers,and improve the system of assessment,evaluation and professional title evaluation;new teachers should improve their psychological adjustment ability,formulate career development goals and plans,and improve their teaching ability and scientific research ability. |
