Calligraphy textbooks of the Republic of China,as the beginning of modern calligraphy textbooks,play a role of connecting the past and the future.This article analyzes calligraphy teaching under the guidance of teachers and students during the Republic of China,ideas and teaching methods of school calligraphy education in Republic of China have been discussed in the article,it mainly analyzes the school calligraphy teaching material with the advantages of introduction to regular script.Whether or not to join the running script teaching in primary schools were discussed.Therefore,the author summed up the teaching elementary school calligraphy appreciation course and two kinds of auxiliary teaching skill class.Nowadays,China is attaching more and more importance to calligraphy education,and the writing requirements of textbooks are getting higher and higher.The author divides the above questions into the following chapters.The first chapter discusses the formation background of calligraphy education and viewpoints of calligraphy education in the journal Shuxue in the Republic of China.The first section explores the general environment of calligraphy education in the Republic of China.The second section analyzes the calligraphy education based on the comments of the representative calligraphers and calligraphy educators at that time.Calligraphy education is no longer practical with the impact of the old and new concepts.The author will focus on the development of school calligraphy textbooks by analyzing the educational background of calligraphy in the Republic of China.The second chapter discusses the general situation of calligraphy teaching materials of the Republic of China.The author mainly analyzes two kinds of textbooks of this stage,namely the textbooks of enlightenment literacy calligraphy and practical calligraphy.The practical calligraphy textbooks were divided into teacher's books and student's books.Taking the textbook as the original point of view,this paper analyzes the compilation principle and organization method of the calligraphy textbook of the Republic of China.The third chapter briefly describes the existing problems of calligraphy education in primary schools and the enlightenment of the compilation of calligraphy textbooks in the Republic of China.Through the investigation and analysis of the currentsituation of calligraphy education in schools,the author found that there are shortcomings,but also good places,and the author try to explain these founding through the aspects of national policy,schools,teachers,students.In order to solve the above problems,the author will add in the second section of the Republic of China calligraphy textbook for the solution of related problems for reference.In the fourth chapter,the author combined her own learning experience with the compilation system and organization method of calligraphy textbooks in the Republic of China so as to compile and upgrade the existing calligraphy textbooks,hoping to have a positive significance for the development of calligraphy education in primary and secondary schools,and provide a feasible way for the compilation of Chinese calligraphy textbooks.
