Picture books have been widely used in Chinese teaching.In recent years,some teachers have paid attention to the value of picture books and have combined them with the teaching of writing in the lower grades.but the researches on the combination of picture books and practice teaching are far less than the reading teaching of picture books,the study and practice of picture books being used in the teaching of middle and senior students is not enough,and even the basic problems such as "why picture books should be used in the teaching of picture books" and "how to use them reasonably in the teaching of picture books" have not been paid enough attentionand fundamentally solved.Therefore,the author tries to make an in-depth study of this teaching mehod,trying to sort out and summarize the existing research results,On the basis of the survey and data analysis,the authoe applies picture books to teaching practice during internship,and explores the principles and strategies of applying picture books to practice teaching.Considering that the exercises in the third and fourth grade of primary school(the second learning stage of primary school)are the beginning of the exercises in sentence structure,paragraph and chapter format,it is also the critical period for the cultivation of pupils' imagination,observation and emotional expression.The colors and concise,meaningful words in picture books are suitable for children's cognition and can stimulate their thinking and expression.Applying picture books to the second stage of primary school can maximize the value of picture books,relieve the psychological pressure of pupils when they are doing exercises,and thus help teachers to carry out exercise teaching effectively.Therefore,the author takes the students in the second learning period as the observation and experimental objects,makes full use of the characteristics of picture books,carefully selects the picture books that meet the requirements of the curriculum standards and the learning situation,and applies them in the practice teaching.This paper is completed on the basis of theoretical research,current situation investigation and teaching practice research.It is mainly divided into four parts,which are elaborated as follows:Part one: it includes a comprehensive analysis of the related research in picture book and composition teaching.Through the collation and analysis of the literature,we can understand the research status of practice teaching and picture books in teaching,and thus lay a foundation for the following research practice.Part two: it aims to define the concept,characteristics and teaching value of picture book.This is to have a deep understanding of the history and concept of picture books,and to explore the role of picture books in promoting students' observation,expression and imagination on the basis of analyzing the characteristics of picture books,so as to prepare for the connection between picture books and writing teaching.Part three: it analysed the problems of the application of picture books in the teaching of primary school practice and the reason behind it.With the help of the opportunities during the internship,the author conducted investigation,research and interviews to find out problems and sort out attributions.Part four: the four months of teaching practice,summed up the picture book practice teaching should pay attention to the principle,and the practice process and reflection.Part five: it is to sort out the strategies of using picture books in the teaching of Chinese exercises in primary schools.From analysing picture books before teaching design and paying attention to the link of knowledge points,the selection of teaching methods,the arrangement of teaching activities during teaching design,the teaching design should focus on the imagination,observation and emotional requirements of Chinese curriculum standard for students in the middle stage,and advocates teachers to pay attention to the development of students' language,thinking,aesthetics and culture while teaching exercises.
