Employee sports should be paid more attention to build China into a leading sporting nation and aerospace nation.As the birthplace of Chinese aerospace industry,China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology(CALT)is the largest development and production organization of launch vehicles and strategic missiles in China,which plays key roles in the development of the national defense.To devote all employees to national space research & development activities,CALT has thought highly of organization culture construction and employee sports.Employee sports are integral parts of CALT organization culture,which support the development of the organization and the whole industry.When China is in course of transferring from a big nation to a leading nation in the aerospace field,the development of employee sports are of realistic significance.Firstly,the status of CALT employee sports is investigated.The problems are then analyzed and countermeasures are discussed.The management system,actors and influencing factors of CALT employee sports from the viewpoint of values are investigated with sampling surveys,logical analysis and other research methods.Some conclusions are then drawn as follows.1.It's the value and role of CALT employee sports that cultivates excellent engineers,craftsmen and managers,and promotes the quality of employees and the improvement of organizational culture.It is necessary to raise awareness of the value of employee sports with new development goals.The new development plans of employee sports with quantitative goals and specific requirements is then formed top-down.2.In spite of remarkable achievements made by the management of CALT employee sports that followed the matrix management model formed in the era of planned economy,there are still problems such as the concentration of management and the inadequacy of means and methods adapting to the market economy.To solve these problems,instead of making decisions by the Union alone,the Union should take the lead to call for the coordination of multiple departments to promote the realization of the sports cultural value of employees.In addition,research into the diversification of management models and full utilization of social resources should be encouraged to further strengthen sports associations.3.The employees of CALT are of high quality and love sports.Although there are about 1/3 of the sports population,there are problems in sports awareness,sports methods,sports skills and sports consumption concepts,which need to teach in sports and strengthen training,education and guidance.4.The influencing factors of CALT employee sports include the lack of sports time,shortage of professional guides and sporting skills training,inadequate venues,facilities and funds.It is necessary to guarantee employees exercise time through the overall planning of research and development activities,apply more social resources by changing the methods and methods,and solve the problems of insufficient sports facilities and venues in batches by increasing the investment of funds and other resources.
