Reading is an important way for people to understand the world and obtain information.However,when it comes to reading,most people think of reading in the Chinese and English,rarely associate with chemistry or other subjects.However,with the introduce of chemical core literacy,the trend of chemical college entrance examination proposition gradually shifts from examining knowledge to examining students' ability to acquire and process information.Therefore,attention should be paid to cultivate and improve students' chemical reading ability.In this study,the current situation of chemical reading ability of senior-one students was investigated by questionnaire,paper test and interview.It is found that students lack the methods and interests of chemistry reading.In the process of reading materials,missing or not extracting key information,the ability of chemistry reading needs to be strengthened.According to the current situation,using the theory of reading psychology and combining with the characteristics of the psychological development of senior-one students,propose to choose different reading methods to guide students to read;according to the different types of classes,in the new class,revised class and review classes,different strategies are proposed to cultivate students' chemical reading ability.In addition,the experimental class and the control class were selected to carry out the practical research on the cultivation of chemical reading ability.Through the specific case analysis and interviews,the results show that the students in the experimental class have learned to dig up the key information hidden in the topics,developed a good habit of chemical reading,and have more interested in chemical reading.The practical results show that the proposed reading methods and strategies have certain efforts on improving the chemical reading ability of senior-one students.
