Mathematics is one of the basic disciplines,and mathematics learning is closely linked with mathematics reading.The necessity of mathematics reading is becoming increasingly apparent and has gradually become an essential ability for mathematics learning.However,senior high school students have many problems in mathematics reading.Cultivating senior high school students' mathematics reading ability is not only the trend of the times,but also the requirement of curriculum standards.Meanwhile,the topic of examining students' mathematics reading ability is becoming more and more important in the college entrance examination.The literature method is used to understand the research situation of mathematics reading at home and abroad,and the questionnaire survey and interview survey are used to investigate and analyze the present situation of mathematics reading ability of senior high school students in Linyi,among which the scale includes "Senior High School Mathematics Reading Status Questionnaire" and "Senior High School Mathematics Reading Ability Test Paper".Combining the quantitative method with the qualitative method,the conclusion is obtained through analysis and thinking.Finally,according to the survey results,some teaching suggestions are given with mathematical examples.The main contents and conclusions of the study are as follows:In the understanding of mathematics reading,most high school students can correctly understand mathematics reading,but many students don't like mathematics reading and can't take the initiative to read mathematics at ordinary times.In terms of reading obstacles,most senior high school students have deficiencies in mathematical language understanding,reading reasoning,associative memory and abstract generalization ability.In the reading strategy,senior high school students' mastery of reading methods such as marking,transformation,drawing and deduction is not satisfactory.In reading metacognition,students lack the ability of self-regulation,and more than half of senior high school students can't guarantee a high degree of mental concentration when reading mathematics.Secondly,the survey found that senior high school students' meta-reading ability and abstract logical thinking ability are low,especially meta-reading ability,which is mainly reflected in the lack of reflective ability.Thirdly,the results of correlation analysis show that high school students' mathematics reading barriers and attitudes have a great influence on mathematics reading ability,which inspires teachers to study the solutions of barriers and students' attitudes and cultivate them in a targeted way.In addition,the results of difference analysis show that gender has a higher influence on senior high school students' mathematics reading ability than grade,which accords with general cognition,and also shows that external thrust plays an indispensable role in the whole training process.Finally,during the interviews with teachers and students,it was found that the mathematics reading activities in this school were not carried out sufficiently,and the teachers gave students insufficient reading guidance,even ignored the training in this respect.Students were constantly hindered in reading mathematics,and they hoped to get more mathematics reading methods and skills from teachers.According to the survey results,this paper puts forward some teaching suggestions on cultivating high school students' mathematics reading ability,especially for high school mathematics teachers,combining with mathematical examples and teaching design cases.Conceptually,teachers should update their stubborn teaching ideas,closely follow the high-speed express train of the times,and focus on the cultivation of high school students' mathematics reading ability.From the attitude of students,teachers should help students face up to mathematics reading,and through the creation and intervention of problem situations,students will be happy to read mathematics from the inside out.In reading strategy,teachers should combine students' realistic foundation and infiltrate scientific and appropriate reading methods.In targeted training,it is suggested that teachers refine their mathematics reading ability,design exercises for these abilities and break them one by one.On the ability of reflection,students' ability to reflect is the weakest,so teachers should always cultivate their awareness in this respect and integrate it into teaching.
