The theory of multiple intelligences was born in the early 1980 s in the United States. It broke the traditional concept of unitary intelligence and believed that human intelligence existed in multiple forms, which had an important impact on the educational reform of western countries at that time. After the introduction of the theory of multiple intelligences into China, many scholars have combined the theory with teaching work and achieved certain results, but few practical studies have been done on the transformation of the theory into mathematics for students with learning difficulties. Therefore, from the perspective of the theory of multiple intelligences, this paper discusses how to help math students with different intelligence structures get rid of the difficulties in math learning, arouse their enthusiasm and interest in learning mathematics, and thus achieve all-round development.Firstly, this thesis expounds the background and significance of the research, delimits the concept of “students with mathematical learning difficulties” in traditional education, and makes a full understanding of the research status of students with mathematical learning difficulties and the theory of multiple intelligences at home and abroad by means of literature research.Secondly, this paper expounds the theory of multiple intelligences from four aspects:its background, type, essence and characteristics, and looks at the students with mathematical learning difficulties from the perspective of the theory of multiple intelligences.Thirdly,a questionnaire on the development of multiple intelligences was prepared according to the available data, and a questionnaire survey was carried out on the mathematics learning difficulties and excellent students of the first grade in the internship school,SPSS software and EXCEL software were used to analyze the results of the survey, and comparative research method was used to compare the differences in the development of various intelligences of mathematics students with learning difficulties, the differences in the intelligence development of different genders of mathematics students with learning difficulties, and the differences in the intelligence development of mathematics students with learning difficulties and excellent students. Finally, according to the results of investigation and analysis, the corresponding transformation strategies are put forward for the senior grade one students with learning difficulties in mathematics, respectively is to help the poor student mathematics set up the concept of multiple intelligences, mobilize the various intelligences of students with mathematical learning difficulties, and carry on the multiple intelligences evaluation to the students with learning difficulties in mathematics, and using the case study method to research and analyze the representative senior grade one students with learning difficulties in mathematics, determine the advantage of her intelligence and weak intelligence, formulate feasible strategy to implement transformation, then use observation to compare her changes before and after the transformation, and research conclusions.Through the research and experimental results of this paper,it is found that the theory of multiple intelligences has certain effects on the transformation of senior grade one students with learning difficulties in mathematics. It is hoped that this paper can provide some meaningful suggestions for educators.
