Although China has been paying attention to core skills for work in the field of vocational education since the 21 st century,as of now,there has not been a unified core skills for work framework at the national level,and the understanding and grasp of core skills for work in various vocational colleges are different.Compared with China,Australia has already formed a comprehensive and mature core skills for work developmental framework to guide vocational education and training in the country.Therefore,there are many inspirations and references for studying Australia's core skills for work framework.The history of Australia core skills for work developmental framework has gone through three stages.It starts from putting forward the concept of “key competencies”to creating the employability framework,and finally publishing this new framework.It describes a set of non-technical skills,knowledge and understandings that underpin successful participation in work.This framework consists of three parts.First is the embodiment of work behavior in the skills area,It includes three dimensions: navigate the world of work,interact with others,and get the work done,and the top ten areas of its subordinates.Second is the development stage of individual professional behavior,By dividing the stage of individual career development into maturity,it is divided into five stages: novice,advanced,capable,proficient,and expert.The last is factors that influence work behavior.There are nine factors including existing knowledge and skills,and the complexity of the task,etc.This framework has an important guiding role in vocational education and training in Australia.The first is to promote the development of individual professional life by analyzing the characteristics of individual development processes from contact,participation,development,proficiency to professional life.On the other hand,it guides the design of curriculum standards for registered training institutions.The competency units corresponding to the training package are designed for reference,and the competency unit focuses on the cultivation and acquisition of core skills for work.After understanding the development status of China's core skills for work,Australia and China are similar: First,the focus of the core skills for work framework is basically the same,and the second is to apply the framework to education and training.The differences are as follows: First,the scope of the framework is broadly different;second,the degree of specificity of the capability indicators is different;third,the degree of richness of the skill framework is different;fourth,the actual transformation effect of the core skills for work is different.There are five main points of inspiration for our country.To build a working mechanism for multi-stakeholders to participate in the development of core skills for work frameworks;To make the functional areas of core skills for work more precise,more operative and measurable in behavioral expression;Constructing five walks as a development stage model;Pay attention to the influence of various influencing factors on students' professional ability acquisition and behavioral performance;Exert the practical role of the framework and strive to guide the actual education and teaching.
