As a special function--discrete function,sequence of number is an important part of high school mathematics teaching but at the same time is a basic and important mathematical model reflecting the natural law."The sequence of number is the foundation of mathematics,no matter from the perspective of history,occurrence or system.It can be said that there is no mathematics without a sequence of numbers," the mathematician Freudenthal said.Since the reform and opening up,there have been four basic education curriculum reforms in the field of mathematics education in China.Each curriculum reform is accompanied by the reform of textbook content.In the new round of core literacy oriented mathematics curriculum reform,reviewing and combing the reform process and development context of the sequence of number content of the high school mathematics textbook published by the people's education edition since the reform and opening up,summarizing its change characteristics and experience and mining its change reasons have an important reference value for the future change of the sequence of number content of the mathematics textbook.This paper selects 9 textbooks published by People's Education Press since the reform and opening up,and analyzes the changes of sequence of number content by some methods,for instance,literature,content analysis,comparison,historical research and modeling.Under the requirements for the content of sequence of number in mathematics syllabus(curriculum standard)since the reform and opening up,this paper analyzes the three aspets of the text content,organizational structure,and the specific changes of sequence of number in textbooks.The research on the text content of sequence of number is mainly conducted from four aspects: the curriculum capacity,curriculum difficulty,writing style of sequence of number and changes in the difficulty of examples and exercises.The conclusion is as follows:Teaching program:the course objectives of sequence of number is more specific.Except for the traditional "double base" requirements,it also begins to require the basic idea and basic activity experience of mathematics.Text content:firstly,the content of sequence of number is gradually simplified,but the objectives requirements of sequence of number are gradually specific and diversified,which makes the content more difficult.Secondly,the style is enriched in a gradual way,adding the content reflecting the history of mathematics and the development of the times.The extended knowledge concerning the improvement of students' thinking is also presented by "reading and thinking","exploration and discovery" and other columns.Third,the number of examples and exercises of sequence of number is reduced,but examples are diverse in forms,and the background information is gradually rich,the setting of examples and exercises is gradually changing to improving students' cognitive ability.Fourth,the expression of specific content of sequence of number's conceptual knowledge remains stable,its introduction and derivation methods have became more varied,which takes into account the cognitive psychology of students.Organization structure:firstly,the content structure of sequence of number is more clear,it pays special attention to main knowledge,and its connectivity with function knowledge is improved.Secondly,the organizational structure of sequence of number content gradually changes from "straight-line rise" to "spiral rise",from discipline structure to the combination of discipline and student psychology.Finally,it analyzes the reasons for the changes of the content of the sequence of number,based on the changing characteristics,experience and interview results of sequence of number since the reform and opening up,some suggestions are given for teachers to use the new version of textbook to teach sequence of number.
