Several opinions of the state council on accelerating the development of the sports industry to promote sports consumption and the issuance of the outline of the "healthy China 2030" plan promoted the development of the sports industry,and the proposal of the theme of "sharing,co-building and national fitness" raised national fitness as a national strategy.With the improvement of people's living standard and people's pursuit of quality life and healthy body,marathon has become the most popular national fitness exercise.As an outdoor sport favored by the public,marathon is an important way to realize national fitness and health in China.Marathon is also an important carrier to promote urban cultural publicity,image building and economic development.SCO Kunming Marathon is the first and the only one with international organization named after the event,it is adhering to the "Shanghai spirit",Shanghai,the spirit of love and peace,is the yunnan province and the SCO cooperation to promote the important foreign exchange program,to accelerate the construction of urban economy in Kunming,towards internationalization development is of great significance,is the best embodiment of the Shanghai cooperation spirit and the spirit of sports fusion.As a young event,its achievements have been rapidly promoted and developed in recent years.However,compared with the mature marathon in China,there is still a certain gap between it and the domestic marathon.Therefore,there is great room for improvement in the popularity and brand influence of the event.With the expansion of the scale of the event,how to improve the level of event management,ensure the quality of the event,improve the benefits of the event,and improve the communication effect and popularity of the event are all challenges that the event managers need to face.This paper mainly studies the current management situation of SCO kumming Marathon through the methods of literature,field investigation and questionnaire survey,and conducts in-depth investigation and systematic analysis from the aspectsof race management organization,competition management,media promotion management and risk management.The following conclusions are drawn:1.The management structure of the SCO Kunming Marathon adopts a functional structure.The event is dominated by the government,and the event operating company co-organizes,setting up various branches according to the management function.2.In terms of competition management,the preparations for the early stage of the event are adequate,which reflects the specifications of the international competition named by the above-mentioned cooperative organizations.Traffic dredging,event replenishment and safety are all very comprehensive,but the recruitment of volunteers is single.And the characteristics of the city are slightly poor;the public welfare of the event is in its infancy,and there are few projects.3.In terms of event media promotion,the organizing committee does not pay enough attention,and the management and maintenance of the official website are not timely.WeChat news publicity management is relatively mature,and the public account information is sent in a timely manner,but Weibo promotion has not been carried out,ignoring this large user group.There is a lack of long-term planning for the promotion of events,the lack of corresponding safeguards for the rights and rewards of sponsors in operation,and fewer derivative events.4.In terms of event risk management,the organizing committee has formulated a complete safety guarantee system,but there is not enough publicity about medical rescue and sports injury prevention,and the participants' self-protection knowledge reserve is lacking;and the rights and interests of sponsors are not guaranteed enough.
