With the continuous development of China's economy and the continuous improvement of medical technology,the population mortality rate has been greatly reduced,the number of the elderly population in China has been rising,and the aging problem has shown an increasingly severe situation.As early as the millennium,the World Health Organization has put forward the concept of "active aging" to deal with the challenges of this century.The report of the Nineteenth National Congress of the Party also pointed out that we should actively deal with the aging of the population and improve the life satisfaction and happiness of the elderly groups.Encouraging and promoting the social participation of older persons is one of the effective ways to achieve their "active ageing" goals,through which older persons can have a greater sense of acquisition,happiness and security and make their retirement life more fulfilling,secure and sustainable.As a special group of the elderly,retired teachers in colleges and universities have their own unique value and advantages over the retired elderly in other industries.Active social participation is conducive to alleviating the contradiction between talent supply and demand;at the same time,it also brings great benefits to the elderly themselves,so that the elderly through the channel of social participation,give full play to their professional expertise,while contributing to the society,but also can achieve their own inner pursuit of a better life.This paper mainly focuses on the main line of social participation of retired teachers in colleges and universities,taking retired teachers in several colleges and universities in Anning District of Lanzhou City as the research object,through drawing on the theory of active aging and activity theory,combining with the characteristics of retired teachers' own social participation,with the help of questionnaire survey,literature research,statistical analysis and other methods to carry out empirical research on the social participation of retired teachers in colleges and universities in Anning District of Lanzhou City.It is found that there are a series of problems in the social participation of retired teachers in colleges and universities,such as imperfect legal mechanism,insufficient participation platform and low participation level.Based on this,this paper puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions on the socialparticipation of retired teachers in Anning District of Lanzhou City from different perspectives.In order to actively deal with aging,enhance the well-being of the elderly group,sense of acquisition,security to provide some reference and reference.
