As a public welfare enterprise,private education rise and development decompose the educational burden of the government to a certain extent,tap the potential of existing social and educational resources,increased the diversity of educational supply means and selectivity and made important contributions to the cause of national education.While recognizing the importance of private schools,we can also see many obvious problems in its development such as management mechanism,relationships between schools and teachers,as well as the employee payment package etc.Teachers are a critical component of private schools' operation and growth,their sense of acceptance and belongs needs to be established and maintained.Thus the measures to be taken by private schools to build,maintain and enhance such sense of acceptance and belonging are of critical importance.This study focuses on middle school teachers' sense of belonging,and tries to seek the root causes sense of belonging and propose the ways of facilitating it through evidence drawn from questionnaire surveys and individual interviews in a sample group consists of 6 private middle schools in A municipality of Guizhou Province.Based on the survey and interview,this paper finds out that the sense of belonging of private school teachers in A municipality of Guizhou Province is above the average level.Private schools have made many progress in raise the level of social recognition,improving campus facilities and increasing humanitarian care.Research data shows that teachers' sense of belonging varies based on the difference of age,education level and the place of household registration.Survey and interviews reveals that middle school teachers in A municipality have widely different concerns including intense workload,high mental stress,low expectations on the career development,and poor adaptability.This study proposes strategies to enhance the sense of belongs' of middle school teachers in private schools from both external factors such as society,government and school,and internal factors that involve teachers themselves.Society and government should further improve the social status of private schools by extending promotion and financial support,improving rights and responsibility regulations and balancing the distribution of teacher resourses.Schools should reform payment package structure,provide better training system and career guidance to reduce work stress and help teacher develop their specialization.Teachersthemselves need to enhance self-education and self-management with an adaptive mindset in order to further improve their own professional ability.
