Since 1980s, private colleges and universities have made great progresses after more than 30 years'development. Its development has gone through tough process. The rise of the private colleges and universities has an revolutionary effect on our country's higher education system. As the important point of growth of our country's higher education, it plays a very important role. It not only satisfies the various educational needs, but also satisfies the wide talents'needs of the society by utilizing the educational resources reasonably and increasing the educational funds. We can say it plays a more and more important role in higher education. But there are also some problems and conflicts in the process of the development of the private institutions. Recently, the loss of the sense of belonging of the teachers especially the young teachers in private colleges and universities becomes a bottle-neck to restrict the development of the private colleges and universities. It also brings some barriers for its development. So the sense of belonging of faculty in private institutions attracts more and more attention of people. This thesis explains the significance and related notions of the establishment of sense of belonging of the private faculty. And on this basis, it uses hierarchy of needs theory, expectancy theory and people oriented management theory to analyze the problems of the young private faculty's sense of belonging in our country. Though the questionnaire survey, it finds the deficiencies of sense of belonging during the process of its establishment. The main problem is that the majority of them lack sense of belonging. There are many reasons, for example: the salary is very low, the welfare measures are not in place, the development space is narrow and the systems of the private institutions are not reasonable etc. through detailed analysis of these reasons, we find the main problem is the unfair treatment between the private faculty and the public ones, especially the policy of welfare is not sound enough. It makes the private faculty's life can't be guaranteed, therefore, they lack sense of safety. In addition, the management systems of the private college itself are not reasonable, for instance: the salary depends on the achievement of students'enrollment makes many young faculty flinch. They can't do their research securely and do their teaching task heart and soul. These problems are the serious one during the survey. It right because of the existence of these problems, lead the result of the loss of sense of belonging and sense of responsibility of the young private faculty. The writer puts her own ideas for there problems, she hope to solve them from the following aspects: firstly, the government should give some policies'support to the young private faculty; secondly, the patron and the management of the private institutions should be people oriented; thirdly, the relative systems of the private institutions should be improved; last, on the part of the faculty, they should raise their self-awareness and spirit of ownership ,and integrate into the environment genuinely, and make due contribution to its development. Only on the condition of corporate hard work, we can do the private education well and make great progress and then strengthen the sense of belonging of the faculty genuinely.
