Nowadays,in the process of political democratization,citizens' appeal for right and fair becomes louder and louder,which leads to the happening of more and more irrational ways of political participation.As the cooperation between officials and citizens is difficult to start,the appeal for participatory governance comes in sight.However,this new way is difficult to spread in China for the lack of the rational and healthy enthusiasm for political participation in the group of citizens.Recent research shows that the situation of college students' political participation can somehow represents that of the group of citizens.But most of college students in China have low enthusiasm for political participation;on the one side,they find it difficult to protect their participation rights,even if they take a part in the issue,they cannot intervene the final decision;on the other side,they got few responses form the government when they sent their advice on an issue,which made their low political efficacy.Therefore,how to effectively enhance college students' enthusiasm of political participation,which can ensure their intention to cooperate with officials and spread participatory governance in the future,is necessary to deliberate.In this regard,we base on the theory of social interdependent theory,making out 2 situational experiments,including 2 experiments called “empowerment” and “information response”,and 6 situations(each experiment has 3 groups),to explore the influence mechanism of social mindfulness on the college students' political participation.In terms of situation setting,as college students have 2 ways to take part in the political participation,including the participation of macroscopic social affairs and micro affairs in colleges and universities,we set 12 experimental situations with “social affairs” and “university affairs” as the background for the preliminary experiment.With higher perception of social mindfulness and sense of substitution,6 situations based on the “university affairs” are selected to use in the formal experiments.The results are as follows:(1)both empowerment and information response can effectively inspire college students' perception of social mindfulness,in which equal empowerment and high empowerment can inspire higher college students' perception of social mindfulness,and affirmative information response can inspire the highest college students' perception of social mindfulness;(2)information response can directly improve college students' enthusiasm for political participation,and positive information response can inspire the highest enthusiasm for political participation;(3)college students' perception of social mindfulness in the context of empowerment has a positive effect on their enthusiasm of political participation,in which the higher the perception of social mindfulness,the higher the enthusiasm of political participation;(4)the positive interdependence between officials and citizens of college students has some mediating effects in the context of empowerment,but there is no mediating effect in the context of information response.In this term,we put forward these following practical suggestions:(1)the full "empowerment" in the political participation activities should be put on an important situation,which is in order to convey the social mindfulness of "participation is effective";(2)attention should be paid to timely and effective "top-down" response in political participation activities to convey the social mindfulness of "respect for public opinion";(3)pay attention to the cultivation and promotion of college students' awareness of social responsibility,and stimulate the enthusiasm of political participation through "participation value";(4)improve the supporting system of college students' political participation,which is in order to maintain and promote the mutual dependence and cooperation between officials and citizens.
