As prospective new teachers,the teaching ability of normal school students directly means whether they can be qualified for primary and secondary education,which directly affects the teaching effect and teaching quality of basic education.Therefore,teaching ability has always been a hot issue in the field of education.Although teaching ability is an old topic,but different times endow it with different meaning and value.Now Chinese education has ushered in a new era,teaching ability has been endowed with new research significance.Since the implementation of the professional accreditation of teacher-training,specific requirements have been put forward in the "graduation requirements" for the teaching ability of normal students.In this situation,as a provincial undergraduate Normal University,it is very important to investigate the current situation of the teaching ability of the postgraduates in s University,because only by knowing the teaching ability of Normal University students,can colleges and universities correct the problems,better train normal university students and improve their teaching ability.In this study,the normal students of s University are taken as the research object.Through questionnaire distribution and recovery,SPSS 21.0 and excel are used to analyze the data,and the case study of normal students' teaching ability is conducted by combining interview.This study has identified four dimensions of teaching ability,namely,teaching design ability,teaching implementation ability,teaching evaluation ability and teaching research ability.Through the investigation and analysis,we find that there are some deficiencies in the teaching ability of normal school students in the four dimensions: First,the teaching design ability,there are deficiencies in the ability to analyze teaching materials,the ability to analyze learning situations,the ability to design teaching objectives,the ability to choose teaching methods,the ability to design teaching processes,and the ability to compile teaching design plans,in the dimension of Teaching Implementation Ability,there are some deficiencies in language expression ability,blackboard design ability and teaching contingency ability.In addition,the dimension of teaching evaluation ability is mainly reflected in the deficiency of students' evaluation ability,in the dimension of Teaching ResearchAbility,the ability of writing teaching research papers is not enough.The causes of teaching ability problems are diverse,the main reasons are: 1.Take an examination of grind or textual research,occupy a lot of time;2.Less opportunities to teach during practice;3.The curriculum is unreasonable;4.Training facilities are weak;5.Lack of professional knowledge;6.Lack of clarity in your professional philosophy;7.Self-study enthusiasm is not high.At last,the paper puts forward the following countermeasures based on the analysis of the problems and causes: 1.Increase practice opportunities and ease the internship time conflicts;2.Optimize the curriculum,detailed teaching content;3.Construction of practical training institutions and implementation of microteaching;4.Strengthening knowledge and idea,improving the enthusiasm of teachers and students.
