Values And Practice Of Social Work Of Community Workers

Social work can be seen as a helping activity,a helping process,a helping method,a profession,a system,but also can be seen as an action.Community work is not only a method of social work,but also one of the research fields of social work.The results of community day-to-day work projects are not only determined by government policies,implementation environment and other factors,but also related to the values of community social workers,especially those who are between professionalization and specialization today,what social work values you hold can make a difference in the effectiveness of your actions.From the perspective of social action and with the help of the two-dimensional structure analysis tool of values,this paper tries to analyze what kind of values have been formed by community workers who are in the process of professionalization and specialization,and the value of professional social work for the current community social workers how the impact,at the same time to broaden the scope of values of two-dimensional structure of the application.Based on the qualitative research method,through the observation,practice and interview in the B Community,we found: The difference between the social work values of the community workers and the professional social work values,it is manifested in three aspects: the understanding of people's values,the understanding of the relationship between people and others,and the understanding of the social environment,among them,the understanding of people's values and the understanding of social environment are quite consistent with the values of professional social work,in their understanding of the relationship between people and others,community workers believe that the relationship between the community and the residents is not equal in some aspects,and that they have an empirical preconception,moreover,the discourse relationship between community workers and residents is condescending.Based on these differences,the reasons are analyzed as follows: 1.Empirical Preconceptions;2.Lack of voice;3.Leading opinions;4.Payattention to "human interest" in four aspects.Based on the above findings,it lays a comparative foundation for the following transformation of social work values of community workers in the process of professionalization to specialization.Taking the "red courtyard",a concrete project in the community,as a case,the researcher constructs an operational model of similar projects,which is led by the party committee,using the two-dimensional structure of values,the qualitative goal of such a type of project is to "innovate the idea of community governance and build a model community",which can be operated into the dimensions of objective evaluation and technical evaluation,the dimension of objective evaluation is divided into three dimensions: Satisfaction of residents' needs,participation of residents and integration of community resources.At the same time,it tries to widen the application field of the two-dimensional structure of values.
