The ability of Cooperation is an important manifestation of pupils' mental health.With the development of the times,more and more people with cooperative consciousness and spirit are needed.Primary school is the beginning for students to enter the society,and it is also an important period to cultivate the students' ability of cooperation.One of the issues which are concerned by primary school students' mental health education is: the current situation of primary school students' cooperative ability,the problems that exist,and how to train students to have better cooperative ability.In this paper,194 students of Grade Five in Xing Tan Primary School in Shenyang were tested by using the cooperative ability table(Wang Bin,Li Furong 2011).It was found that the cooperative ability of senior primary school students has the following characteristics:The overall level of cooperative ability is above the middle level and it performs well in the dimensions of Cooperative Cognition and interpersonal interaction as well;whether the cooperative ability of students has differences between the class leaders and ordinary students.At the same time,the survey also found that there are some problems in the cooperation ability of senior primary school students,such as lack of cooperation awareness and conflict management.In order to improve the cooperation ability of primary school students,this study designed a group sand table game scheme and chose two among five classes: one as the experimental class and the other as the comparative class.The experimental class was trained in the form of group sand table game,and the comparative class was taught in the regular mental health education course.After the experiment,we compared the different effects of the two classes on the improvement of cooperation ability.The results are as follows:(1)After eight times of group sand play,the cooperation ability of the students in the experimental class has improved significantly.The average cooperation ability of the comparative class has also increased.Through the analysis of the differences between pre-test and post-test by SPSS 25.0,we found that it has improved,it is not significant.(2)For the sense of cooperation,the average level of the post-test of the experimental class was significantly higher than the pre-test,and the differences were significant.And that of the comparative class has also increased,but wasn't significantly.(3)For cooperation skills,there was a significant difference between the pre-test and the post-test,and the post-test was higher than the pre-test.The scores of cooperation skills in the comparative class has also increased,but the difference was not significant.This shows that the group sand table game is effective in improving students' cooperation ability,and verifies the feasibility of the group sand table game scheme.On the basis of the experimental research,this paper also puts forward some suggestions on improving the cooperation ability of senior primary school students from the aspects of mental health education and group sand play:(1)Strengthen the attention to mental health education curriculum;(2)Make full use of the influence of classroom and try to permeate cooperation unconsciously;(3)Increase the "cooperation" theme class meeting;(4)Cultivate the cooperation ability of students in collective activities(5)Strengthen the use rate of sand play in mental health courses,and use the group sand play preferentially;(6)expand the participation of group sand play.
