Theory of Mind refers to the ability of individuals to understand their own and others' psychological states(emotions,needs,interests,beliefs,etc.),and to make causal predictions and explanations for corresponding behaviors.Research shows that preschool stage is a critical period for the development of Theory of Mind,and the lack of this ability will greatly hinder the social development of preschool children.Theme of this study is designed to sand table games intervention plan as the main measures of improving preschool children's mental ability to interpret,from exploring the research object of real Theory of mind disabilities.Respectively,the mood of Theory of mind abilities and basic beliefs,false belief and secondary false belief three dimensions of the implementation of intervention activities,topics sand table games on preschool children's mental intervention effect of Theory of Mind.This research adopts the single subjects multiple baseline design approach to the study of A-B1-B2-C design,independent variable sand table games intervention for the theme,the dependent variable as the Theory of Mind,to the three emotions in Theory of Mind as basic beliefs,false belief and secondary false belief three dimension development is weak for preschool children in the theme of the week of 12,39 times sand table games of the intervention.In addition,visual analysis and C statistics were used to analyze the collected data,supplemented by the analysis of the social validity of qualitative materials,to explore the correlation between the intervention of thematic sandplay and the development of preschool children's Theory of Mind,and relevant suggestions were proposed.The research results mainly include the following:1.After the intervention of themed sandboard games,the scores of the subjects' Theory of Mind were significantly improved compared with the baseline period,indicating that the intervention of themed sandboard games had an immediate effect on the improvement of preschool children's Theory of Mind.2.After removing the intervention of themed sandboard games,the scores of their Theory of Mind still maintained a stable development trend compared with the baseline period,indicating that the intervention of themed sandboard games had a certain maintenance effect on the improvement of preschool children's Theory of Mind.3.According to the interviews with teachers,parents and peers,the target characteristics and behaviors of Theory of Mind are improved well in the actual daily situations,indicating that thematic sandplay has a certain generalization effect on the development of preschool children's Theory of Mind.
