The Tendency Of College Mental Health Education In China From "Solving Psychological Problems" To "Cultivating People"

Psychological health education in colleges and universities is an education to improve the psychological quality of college students and promote the harmonious development of their physical and mental health.It is an important link in the personnel training system of colleges and universities,and also an important part of ideological and political education in colleges and universities.The mental health education of colleges and universities in China began in the mid-1980 s.At the beginning,it focused on the psychological problems of students and helped students solve psychological obstacles and problems.Since 2001,mental health education in colleges and universities has been guided by the concept of "developmental" to help students complete individual psychological development tasks,properly resolve the psychological contradictions in development,and promote the overall development of their personalities and personality improvement;At the end of 2017,"psychological education" became the "top ten" education system for the construction of college ideological and political education quality improvement projects.It adhere to the unity of "psychological health education" and " moral education ",with the ultimate goal of cultivating "new ideals,talents,and responsibilities" of the era,to lay a good psychological quality foundation for university students to grow up.After more than 30 years of development,the mental health education in colleges and universities has gradually realized a positive change from "solving psychological problems" to "cultivating people",which has played an important role in strengthening the joint efforts of colleges to educate people and fill up the problems and shortcomings in ideological and political education.At the same time,it has also become an important way to implement the fundamental task of "building a virtuous person".The article systematically summarizes the development overview of college mental health education in three stages,include the obstacle psychological consultation,developmental mental health education and psychological education.In order to better serve the education of colleges and universities,mental health education has changed in the following six aspects: goals,content,service targets,work teams and work systems.The article take a comprehensive analysis of the reasons for the transformation of college mental health education from three perspectives of environmental changes,in-depth understanding of psychological education and the need for comprehensive development of college students.On this basis,the thesis has made in-depth thinking on how to improve the educational function of mental health education in colleges and universities.Finally,it proposes a multi-level scientific development strategy to promote the psychological education of colleges and universities from the perspective of strengthening the mental education service awareness,promoting the construction of psychological education work teams,and creating a collaborative education work pattern inside and outside the school.
