With the development of China's society and economy,"happiness" has gradually become a hot topic in daily life and academic research. As a realistic observation of the starting point and end point of improving people's life and improving people's well-being in the new era, happiness is the right meaning in the title of continuously satisfying the people's increasing needs for a better life and realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. In recent years, more and more scholars have shifted their research perspective to the study of the gap between urban and rural areas and the sense of happiness of national democracy. As China's largest developing country in the world, the development gap between urban and rural areas has continued to expand.Welfare gaps and widening educational resource gaps.College students are an important nucleus for breaking down intergenerational poverty and breaking class stratification.Exploring the differences in subjective well-being of urban and rural college students and narrowing the gap will help college students to transfer knowledge and abilities and promote social mobility.Based on the questionnaire data from the Economic Behavior and Experimental Group of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics in 2019,this paper uses a combination of theoretical analysis and empirical analysis to explore the differences in subjective well-being of urban and rural college students and their influencing factors, and draws relevant research results. In terms of theoretical analysis, first of all,it will elaborate on the definition of urban and rural college students' concepts and the theoretical basis of happiness economics related research. It will sort out the concepts of urban and rural college students, the concept, measurement and influential factors of subjective well-being.In terms of empirical research, this paper uses a stepwise regression analysis method to study the factors affecting college students' subjective well-being based on survey data, uses an ordered probability model to perform robustness tests, and finally performs heterogeneity analysis on groups of college students with different characteristics. The results found that:(1)The happiness index of college students was 4.35,and the overall happiness index was not high. There are significant differences in the mean values of family characteristics, individual life perceptions, social perceptions and values among urban and rural college students.Differences in family characteristics are specifically reflected in the gaps in family income between urban and rural college students, differences in parental education, and the number of siblings at home;differences inindividual life perceptions include differences in urban and rural college students' self-confidence,gaps in future planning, appearance perception, and childhood abuse experiences; The differences in social perceptions are mainly the differences in perceptions of social security, differences in optimistic attitudes to the future, and differences in social support;the differences in values are mainly reflected in the gaps between utilitarian, hedonistic, and honesty tendencies of urban and rural college students.(2)An empirical study on the subjective well-being of college students through stepwise regression analysis found that: male college students have higher happiness than female college students;the more brothers and sisters in the college student's home, the less family resources the individual has,the lower the subjective happiness, and the only child Subjective well-being is significantly higher than that of non-only children;self-confidence,future goals, and appearance are positively related to college students 'subjective well-being;social support, social security, and optimism are positively related to college students' subjective well-being;utilitarianism Tendencies are negatively related to subjective well-being,and hedonistic tendencies and honesty tendencies are positively related to subjective well-being.(3)The subjective well-being of urban college students is significantly higher than that of rural college students. After controlling a series of variables, the influence of urban identity on the subjective well-being of college students is still significant.Urban identity has the pure happiness effect of identity among college student groups.(4)A study on the heterogeneity of gender between urban and rural college students and the only child found that: there is a gender difference in the subjective well-being of urban college students, there is no gender difference in the subjective well-being of rural college students, and the happiness effect of urban identity on male groups is greater than that of urban female groups The expansion of the urban-rural gap creates a greater gap between the subjective well-being of urban and rural male college student groups than the gap of subjective well-being of urban and rural female college student groups. The only child group receives more family resources and has a higher quality of life than the non-only child group. The happiness effect of urban identity is significantly greater than the happiness effect of non-only child groups.(5)The research on the heterogeneity of family income found that: for each income group, urban identity can improve their subjective well-being,but this effect in low-income groups is nearly 4% in high-income groups.Times.That is,the influence of urban status on the subjective well-being of college students is more pronounced in low-income families.(6)Heterogeneity analysisof values found that among low-utilitarian groups, the happiness of urban college students was higher than that of rural college students, while the difference of happiness between urban and rural college students was not significant among high-utilitarian groups.Among parents' utilitarian tendencies, the subjective well-being of urban college students among parents with low utilitarian tendencies is significantly greater than that of rural college students, while parents with high utilitarian tendencies are not significant;among the hedonistic tendencies, the hedonistic tendencies The subjective well-being of urban college students in the group is greater than that of rural college students, but there is no difference in the group of low hedonic tendency.Among the honesty tendencies, there is a significant difference in the subjective well-being of urban and rural college students with high honesty tendencies, and there is no difference in the subjective well-being of urban and rural college students in low honesty tendencies. This article embarks from the urban and rural perspective to explore the differences between college students' subjective well-being and its influencing factors, based on subjective well-being was explained variables, the household registration status as the main explanatory variables, the research proves that the relationship between subjective well-being,and finds out the related influence college students' subjective well-being life awareness, social awareness and values of specific variables. Finally, the author puts forward policy Suggestions from the government, universities and individuals.
