The view of wealth is people's basic opinion on the issue of wealth,reflecting the outlook on life and values.The contents of wealth view in Chinese textbooks are intended to enable students to cultivate a correct view of wealth,which represent the mainstream view of wealth in society.Different from the direct and centralized education of wealth view in the ideology and politics textbooks,the education of wealth view embodied in the Chinese textbooks is indirect and extensive because the Chinese textbooks do not directly undertake the task of value education.Therefore,the wealth view in Chinese textbooks can reflect the educational thoughts of wealth view in the society at that time truly and diversely.This study takes the fifth set of Chinese textbooks for primary and middle schools published by the People's Education Press(PEP)at the beginning of the reform and opening-up and the tenth set of Chinese textbooks for primary and middle schools published by the PEP in the early 21 st century as examples,to study the difference of wealth view between the two sets of Chinese textbooks,and to find the changes of wealth view education in Chinese textbooks in different periods.This paper is divided into five chapters: the first chapter introduces the general situation of the texts related to the view of wealth in the two sets of Chinese textbooks,the second to the fifth chapters respectively analyze the view on cognition of wealth?the view on acquisition of wealth?the view on distribution of wealth and the view on use of wealth in the two sets of Chinese textbooks,to compare their similarities and differences and explore the reasons for changes.This article mainly finds: With the change of the times,the content of wealth view in the two sets of Chinese textbooks has changed significantly.Regarding the view of wealth cognition,both sets of Chinese textbooks have contents that affirm the value of wealth,but the tenth set of Chinese textbooks has added contents to question the value of wealth;both sets of Chinese textbooks attach importance to criticizing theworship of money;the fifth set of Chinese textbooks guide students to realize that revolutionary faith is higher than wealth,while the tenth set of Chinese textbooks emphasizes that moral conscience is higher than wealth.Regarding the view of wealth acquisition,both sets of Chinese textbooks emphasize the concept of labor creates wealth;the fifth set of Chinese textbooks encouraging people to create wealth through self-reliance and hard work,while the tenth set of Chinese textbooks emphasizes that we must follow the principles of integrity and morality in obtaining wealth.Regarding the view of wealth distribution,the fifth set of Chinese textbooks praised the average distribution of social wealth after the land reform,and attached great importance to exposing and criticizing the phenomenon of class exploitation in the distribution of wealth;while in the tenth set of Chinese textbooks,few texts reflected the view of wealth distribution.Regarding the view of wealth use,both sets of Chinese textbooks reflect the altruism of wealth use,as well as the view of wealth use that emphasizes education and intellectual investment;however,the view of wealth use that advocates frugality in the fifth set of Chinese textbooks no longer appears in the tenth set.In the tenth series of Chinese textbooks,some contents state that the use of wealth should be environmentally friendly and sustainable.
