The history of chemistry is the history of the emergence and development of chemical science,the history of human exploration and transformation of the material world,and the history of the development of human spiritual civilization.Chemistry history education has a special function in chemistry course teaching in senior high school,which is an important carrier to carry out the fundamental task of educating students by virtue,to develop quality education and to carry forward scientific spirit,and it has an irreplaceable role in the inheritance of science and culture and the cultivation of high-quality talents.In 2017,the General High School Chemistry Curriculum Standard was issued,which condensed the core accomplishment of the subject,updated the teaching content and enhanced the guidance,further clarified the orientation of the general high school education,that is,to further improve the students' comprehensive quality,and to strive to develop the core accomplishment,so that students can have ideals and beliefs and social responsibility,scientific and cultural literacy and lifelong learning ability,and have the ability of independent development and communication and cooperation.According to the new curriculum,the new edition of senior high school chemistry teaching materials has been issued to the whole country.What the content of chemistry history is,how to present and how to arrange it will affect the realization of the value of chemistry history education.This paper is of practical significance to analyze the contents of the history of chemistry in the 2019 edition of senior high school chemistry textbook(compulsory one and two).This paper mainly discusses the following aspects:A special overview of the research results on the contents of chemical history at home and abroad;(2)a special exposition of the theories and core concepts supporting the research;(3)an analysis of the contents of the chemical history in the teaching materials;(4)an induction of the presentation of the chemical history;(5)a summary of the characteristics of the arrangement of the chemical history;(6)a strategic proposal for the teaching of chemical history in combination with the discussion on constructivism,humanism learning theory and social learning theory;and(7)a reflection on other relevant factors that affect the teaching of chemical history.By combing the Chinese and foreign literature and using the methods of literature research,content analysis and example analysis,by studying the contents,the researcher gets the conclusion of the characteristics of the new edition of the textbook as follows:The contents of chemistry history basically cover the contents required by chemistry curriculum standards;(2)the application of set exercises combines "static" knowledge conclusions with "dynamic" process methods to achieve better educational results;(3)chemists concerned are more,but complete and rich materials need to be added;(4)there are fewer scientists involved in our country and fewer female figures;(5)the understanding of the two sides and twists and turns of chemistry science should be added to enhance students' ability of reflection and evaluation;(6)the contents of multi-disciplinary chemistry history should be added to reflect the educational value of chemistry history in all directions.As a complete education system,the paper puts forward that it is necessary to further strengthen and improve the education of chemical history in three aspects: pre-service education,perfect use of subsequent teaching materials and evaluation.
