| Chemical history is a real situational material that carries the formation,development and evolution of chemical knowledge,scientific methods,scientific thinking and scientific spirit.The 2017 new curriculum standard attaches great importance to chemical history,which is fully reflected in the basic concept,curriculum objectives,curriculum nature,textbook compilation suggestions and various themes,and the curriculum standard provides a large number of situational materials of chemical history for textbooks.In the past,in the research of chemical education,there was no lack of analysis of the content of chemical history in teaching materials,but there was less research on the chemical history of the new Jiangsu Phoenix Education edition.Since 2019,new textbooks have been continuously used throughout the country.Ordinary high school textbooks published by the people’s education press and Jiangsu Phoenix Education press are two mainstream high school chemistry textbooks in China.The purpose of this study is to explore the performance of the content of chemical history in senior high school textbooks under the framework of the new curriculum standard,taking people’s Education edition and Jiangsu Phoenix Education edition as examples;It is expected to play some reference role for the teaching of front-line chemistry teachers: only with an in-depth understanding of chemical history can we better use chemical history in teaching.This study focuses on the background of exploring the education of chemical history in China,including the research background of domestic chemical history,the background of textbook analysis,and the relationship between chemical history and core literacy.Based on the curriculum standards,this study analyzes the content of chemical history in China’s current high school chemistry textbooks by taking the compulsory and elective courses I,II and III of chemistry in ordinary high school textbooks published by the people’s Education Press(hereinafter referred to as Renjiao Edition)and Jiangsu Phoenix Education Press(hereinafter referred to as Sujiao Edition)as examples.Based on the Leite scale and referring to the previous relevant research,this study selected ten indicators to establish an analytical scale with strong adaptability.To some extent,this study focuses on the image characteristics and micro history of chemists,and draws a relatively novel conclusion.Through data analysis,it is found that the two editions of textbooks have the advantages of many contents of chemical history,reflecting more scientific spirit,emphasizing the scientific essence of chemistry,appearing in the text and breaking the knowledge of chemical history and chemical theory;At the same time,there are also some deficiencies,including insufficient learning methods of chemical history,lack of contemporary domestic female chemists,lack of negative examples,lack of specific scenes,lack of scientific spirit of critical negation,and weak image of chemists;Through comparison,it is found that the people’s education edition has the characteristics of deep learning of chemical history and more extensive and comprehensive content,while the Jiangsu Phoenix Education edition is characterized by learning scientific methods with chemical history as the carrier and mobilizing students’ enthusiasm in learning chemical history.Based on this,this study puts forward some suggestions on the compilation of teaching materials,including increasing the proportion of female chemists,domestic chemists and contemporary chemists;Add chemists’ personality characteristics,educational background,family background,life stories and other contents;Increase the description of specific scenes during chemical discovery;Increase the learning methods of chemical history by doing historical experiments or analyzing historical data;Enhance the language narrative sense and story of chemical history.Based on the suggestions of textbook compilation,this study developed the materials of chemical history;Then a teaching design case with the history of chemistry as the main line is designed. |
