| Drawing is a unique form of representation in the development of children.Children have great creative freedom in drawing and their creativity can often be expressed through drawing.The research perspectives of children's drawing activities have been continuously promoted from developmental psychology to psychotherapy and art education.In recent years,interdisciplinary research on multiple literacies and multimodal meaning-making has emerged and the process of children's drawing activities has received more attention.Using the perspective of multimodal meaningmaking to explore the creative performance in children's drawing activities,on the one hand,it can provide new ideas for the study of children's creativity,on the other hand,it can also provide a reference for adults to observe and support children's drawing activities,especially in providing effective support for young children's creative development.B ased on t he p ersp ec t i ve of m ul t i m od al m eani ng-m aki n g and s oci al constructivism the research adopts the qualitative case study methodology,using literature,video,material object,observation and interview methods to collect data and analyzing the data based on the grounded theory with computer software.The obtained research results include:(1)The multimodal meaning-making in the drawing activities of the case can be summarized as the fusion of "Drawing-Narrative-Non-verbal Expression".(2)The creative expressions from the perspective of multimodal meaningmaking in the drawing activities of the case include the interest in creation,the involvement and enjoyment of creation and the persistence and sense of achievement in creation.(3)The factors that may influence the creative performance of the case in the drawing activities relate to the individual characteristics of the case,the social and cultural influences and the role of the researcher in th e drawing activities.The suggestions of this research may include: first,it recommends that we reexamine children's drawing activities,to pay more attention to mode interaction,emergent literacy and the playfulness of children's visual narrative.Second,to develop children's creativity in drawing activities,it is suggested that adults should create a relaxed and free drawing environment for children,“listen” carefully to children's verbal and non-verbal expressions;enter children's drawing creation process,help them to discover problems,analyze problems and reflect on problem solving;keep up with the children's visual narrative,catch the switching of children's multimodes and meaning-making;join the children's visual narrative play,interact with the children as the "player" to help promote it;provide positive,concrete,artistic and creative description and evaluation of children's drawing process and product. |
