Xunzi was the master of the pre-Qin thought and the last great Confucianist of the pre-Qin period,known as "Aristotle of the East".Xunzi's moral education thought is an important part of traditional Chinese Confucian moral education.The article summarizes Xunzi and his theory in the process of research,and comprehensively introduces the economic,political and cultural conditions of Xunzi's moral education thought.The historical influence points out the value and necessity of studying Xunzi's moral education thought.Summarize the content of Xunzi's moral education thoughts as "initiating falsehood," "learning in parallel","reciprocity of etiquette and music","respecting the teacher and emphasizing",and "integrating goodness into morality",and believe that Xunzi's moral education thoughts are practical and subjective Initiative,innovation and perseverance.According to the survey of the current situation of ideological and moral education of middle school students,the current ideological and moral education of middle school students mainly includes the lack of interest in the main lesson of moral education,a serious decline in ideological and moral consciousness,the deviation of moral requirements and moral behavior,the ethical behavior is susceptible to interference by others' words and deeds,and the existence of home schools the phenomenon of emphasizing wisdom and neglecting morals of the five main problems.The article draws on the current general methods of ideological and moral education of middle school students,and proposes solving measures based on Xunzi's moral education ideas.First,the idea of "learning in parallel with thinking" is integrated into self-education.and moral self-discipline and moral introspection are strengthened.Secondly,the thought of "supporting the law and music" is given to environmental education,including beautifying the school environment.family environment and social environment.Thirdly,to standardize teachers and students with the idea of "respecting the teacher and valuing the teacher",it is suggested that teachers should demonstrate by themselves,and students should respect teachers.Finally,practice the implementation with the idea of "building goodness and virtue" and achieve perseverance.
