| Job burnout refers to a long-term state of fatigue suffered by individuals due to excessive workload,long hours working and high work intensity.Teachers' Job burnout is an extreme reaction caused by their inability to respond effectively to the pressure at work but a common phenomenon in teachers' career.Failure to effectively prevent and alleviate teachers' job burnout will be detrimental not only to their physical and mental health,but also to the quality of teaching and the maintenance of their ranks.The concern about the job burnout of preschool teachers in China is growing,and at the same time,there are a large number of preschool teachers in Shanghai.The purpose of this study is to explore the current situation and the influencing factors of job burnout of preschool teachers in Shanghai by means of questionnaire survey through personal interviews,to explore how the factors of kindergarten organizational atmosphere can predict teachers' job burnout,and then put forward countermeasures to prevent and alleviate their job burnout on this basis.A questionnaire survey was conducted among public preschool teachers in Shanghai and have collected two hundred and sixty-three validated questionnaires.Through the analysis of the survey results,the following conclusions are drawn out:1.The overall job burnout of preschool teachers in Shanghai is not serious.However,their core dimension of job burnout features with severe personal achievements,low degree of emotional exhaustion and the lowest level ofdehumanization.2.Among demographic variables,teacher's age and years of teaching,professional title,position and education all have a significant effect on the job burnout of public preschool teachers in Shanghai.As regard to the year of teaching,for those teachers whose teaching years are among six to ten years,the job burnout showed positivelycorrelated with their teaching age.From the perspective of professional title,the higher a teacher's professional rank is,their job burnout is more serious.Viewing from position,the job burnout of a head teacher is often more terrible than an assistant teacher.From the education,the job burnout also becomes more severe when the higher education a teacher owns.3.Other demographic variables,such as the major of the teacher,the employment type,the character of the kindergartens and its location,different classes the teacher teach and the level of the kindergarten,all of these factors have no significant impact on the job burnout of preschool teachers in Shanghai.However,it should be noted that the level of emotional exhaustion of the teachers of prekindergarten is much higher than teachers of Kindergarten middle class.4.In terms of the influence of kindergartens' atmosphere in teachers' job burnout,the positive relationship between teachers and children is obviously negatively correlated with teachers' emotional exhaustion,low personal achievements and depersonalization,while the decision-making in work is significantly positive correlative is contrary.Finally,this study also discusses the factors that affect the job burnout of preschool teachers and the influence of preschoolorganizational atmosphere on the jobburnout of preschool teachers,and puts forward the corresponding countermeasures. |
