Research On Community Work Involved In The Spiritual Consolation Service Of The Old Empty Nest

In the context of an aging population,the issue of aging has become a topic of widespread concern in society,and how to improve the quality of life of the elderly has become a major strategic issue related to the development of the country and the well-being of hundreds of millions of people.After undergoing economic development and social transformation,elderly care services have gradually begun to focus on the spiritual life of the elderly from simple material supply.Economic support,life care and spiritual comfort have therefore become the three basic contents of elderly care services.However,with the continuous miniaturization of family size and increasing population mobility,more and more elderly families are in an "empty nest" state.The growing spiritual needs of the elderly and the inevitable empty nest crisis form an irreconcilable contradiction.It is a difficult problem that needs to be solved to give the empty nest elderly spiritual comfort and help the empty nest elderly enjoy their old age.This article reviews related research on community and spiritual comfort in colleges and universities,as well as domestic and foreign related practices of social work intervention in old-age care services.It uses Maslow 's hierarchy of needs theory,social activity theory,and the elderly subculture group theory as theoretical analysis frameworks,and uses literature analysis.,In-depth interview method and participatory observation system to understand the status and characteristics of spiritual comfort of the elderly in the empty nest community of A colleges and universities.First of all,through consulting relevant literature and interviews,it was found that the spiritual needs of the empty nest elderly generally include five aspects:emotional support,interpersonal communication,cultural entertainment,social communication and self-realization.Secondly,use in-depth interviews and participatory observation methods to visit condolences and targeted interviews with relatives,friends,neighbors,etc.of the clients,to understand the clients themselves and their elderly care fields,and to understand the spirit of the empty nest elderly from the above five aspects An investigation and assessment of the current state of comfort found that the empty-nest elderly in the community lacked spiritual life and urgently needed spiritual comfort.Analyze thereasons for the lack of spiritual comfort,mainly including empty nest old people's negative attitude towards life,fading family emotions,shrinking social scope,and social support network faults.Thirdly,according to the interview results,five community activities were designed to meet the spiritual needs of the elderly,aiming to meet the spiritual needs of the empty nest elderly emotional support,interpersonal communication,cultural entertainment,social support,and self-realization through community service.The rich community activities have created an excellent atmosphere of respecting and respecting the elderly in the community,established a community “ representing the old and helping the elderly ”multi-service structure represented by the empty nest elderly,strengthened the social interaction of the empty nest elderly,and built a “home + school + Community's social support network will help the elderly to enrich their leisure life and realize the value of old age as much as possible.Finally,this article summarizes and reflects on social work interventions in the spiritual comfort services of the elderly in empty communities in college communities.Studies have shown that using community work to intervene in the psychological comfort services of the elderly in empty communities in college communities can greatly improve their mental status.Carrying out community work in the community of A colleges and universities,by increasing community communication and providing door-to-door spiritual comfort services,help empty nest old people improve the current situation of lack of spiritual support,enrich their daily life,expand the scope of social interaction of the elderly,establish empty nest The mutual support network for the elderly forms a sub-cultural group of empty nest elderly and regains their sense of self-identity and value.Some positive results have been achieved through the application of community work to improve the mental comfort of the empty nest elderly in the community of A colleges and universities.However,to completely solve the mental comfort of the empty nest elderly,it is necessary to integrate multiple resources and strengths.
