The Group Work Is Involved In The Research On Spiritual Comfort Of Urban Empty-nest Elderly

With the miniaturization of modern families,the population flow caused by the urbanization process,and the post changes caused by the industrial structure adjustment,the urban empty-nesters group has gradually increased.As a result of aging,frequent diseases,weak family care network,low frequency of going out and ineffective use of community resources,the empty nest elderly have gradually become a special social group that can not be ignored.Through the city Empty Nest Elderly Children Communication,neighborhood relations,community participation and so on understanding,it was found that the main factors affecting the satisfaction of empty-nest elderly were the lack of children’s company,the insufficiency of interpersonal communication and the lack of community activities.Therefore,it is necessary to pay attention to the spiritual comfort of the urban empty-nesters,to meet their emotional needs and to let them enjoy the old-age life with a healthy and optimistic attitude.In this study,the x community in Qingdao was chosen as the research site,which mainly used the theories of community care,social support network and empowerment,group work intervention was used to explore the spiritual comfort for the empty-nesters in the city.First of all,the questionnaire collected the emotional and spiritual comfort of the urban empty-nest elderly,and found that the elderly in the community generally have a greater degree of spiritual needs.Secondly,the use of semi-structured interview method to analyse the empty nest elderly spiritual comfort is missing the main reason.Finally,the use of group work intervention method for empty nest elderly to carry out seven group activities,relying on the community as a resource support,aimed at meeting the spiritual needs of the empty-nesters and to improve their communication skills,play their own advantages of resources,establish a correct self-awareness,combined with the X community’s own characteristics,to build a characteristic urban empty nest elderly spiritual care support system.After the group activities,the empty nest elderly were measured after the results showed that the group members’ social interaction ability,emotional support and spiritual needs were met to varying degrees.However,in the course of the group activities,there have been difficult group formation process,insufficient personalized care and support for the team members,lack of follow-up tracking is difficult to consolidate the results of the group’s work,and other measures need to be adjusted,such as strengthening social work publicity efforts,integrating the use of practical methods of social work,and formulating the necessary follow-up work to consolidate the results of the group’s work.
