Poetry is the art of language,and it has an irreplaceable advantage in cultivating students' core competence of Chinese discipline.At present,the teaching of poetry in middle schools is mostly carried out in a fixed way,and lacks of the procedural and dynamic attention to the language of poetry,especially the verbal image level,led to the failure to fully exploit the unique advantages of poetry in educating people.Verbal image is a textual symbol that can evoke the subject's psychological appearance,and plays an important role in the construction of poetic meaning.The introduction of the concept of verbal image and related theories in middle school poetry teaching can further broaden the path of poetry teaching and provide methods and ideas for teachers to guide students to cultivate students' core competence of Chinese through poetry.The teaching of middle school poetry from the perspective of verbal image theory aims to give play to the subjectivity of students,to process the procedural exploration of the meaning of poetry,Through the relatively long-lasting analysis of the poetic language,students can grasp the meaning of the work with the help of the artistic image constructed by verbal images,and at the same time allow students to obtain a procedural aesthetic experience and perceive the unique artistic charm of poetic language.Based on the theory of verbal image,this study explores the implementation strategies of poetic verbal image teaching in middle schools from both micro and macro levels.The micro level is intended to guide students to appreciate the artistic image constructed by poetic verbal images through imagination,and to achieve a preliminary grasp of the meaning of the work.The macro level is based on this,and further start to analyze the relationship of the combinational structure of verbal image from the perspective of poetic language characteristics,rhythm,rhetoric,etc.In this process,students are based on verbal image in poems,with the help of association and imagination,they explore the unmanned realm explored by poetry with the guidance of verbal image,not only can they understand themeaning of the work from shallow to deep,but also allow students to touch the unique charm of the mother tongue,can also gradually cultivate the students 'image thinking and aesthetic appreciation ability in the process,and meet the curriculum standards requirements for the cultivation of students' core competence of Chinese discipline.The research process is based on the characteristics of poetry text and the current teaching status.It is guided by the cultivation of core competence of Chinese discipline,from theoretical analysis to experimental teaching,explore the implementation path of the verbal image theory in the poetry teaching in middle school,and try providing useful inspiration for improving the current situation of middle school poetry teaching.
