The cultivation of core quality has been the focus of education reform since it was proposed in 2016.Core competencies and values is to cultivate the ability of students to find,think and solve problems with mathematical ideas,so as to adapt to the development of society.As an effective extension and supplement of class teaching,homework can not only help students consolidate their knowledge and skills,but also exercise their abilities in many aspects.It is an important link that can not be ignored in cultivating core competencies and values for students.Therefore,it is of great significance for education reform and students' development to design the mathematics homework based on core competencies and values.In this dissertation,we investigate and analyze current situation and influencing factors of math homework in two rural junior middle schools in Shangcheng after understanding the status quo and relevant theoretical concepts of homework research at home and abroad using the method of literature analysis,questionnaire survey and interview.The results show that in rural junior middle schools,mathematics homework is still dominated by a single written exercise,without stratification and divorced from the reality of life.Students are not interested in doing homework,and the homework effect is not good.The main reason for this phenomenon is that teachers and students do not know enough about the function of homework,and the homework designed by teachers cannot adapt core competencies and values for students.In view of the survey results,combined with the requirements of core competencies and values for students and relevant educational theories,in this dissertation,we propose the design strategy of mathematical homework.First of all,teachers should change the concept of homework and master the connotation of core competencies and values.The homework should follow the principle of purpose,moderation,diversity,hierarchy and life.It should be the combination of written homework and not written homework.We should pay attention to layering and diversity of written homework,exercise problem can be more like a problem many solution,a problem is changeful,open problem,reading problem and situational application of the problem such problem type.Moreover,the students can sort out wrong problem or write mathematics composition.Non-written homework mainly includes mathematics extracurricular reading and film and television appreciation,as well as some investigation,hands-on operation,practical application and other practical homework.Through these operation modes,the students will consolidate the knowledge and skill of mathematics,cultivate the ability of mathematical thinking,and learn to apply it in practice,and gradually form mathematical core competencies and values.
