Population is closely related to the economy and has always been an inseparable topic. With the earth-shaking changes in China's economy and society since the reform and opening up,the focus of the academic community on population issues has also quietly changed. From the initial population size problem to the multi-dimensional perspective of population structure and migration, the understanding of population distribution has also changed. No longer limited to quantity,I began to delve into the attributes of human beings, which in turn led to thinking about the spatial pattern of population.Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region is located in the northwestern border of China and is located in the hinterland of Asia and Europe. It has the characteristics of multi-ethnic settlement,multi-culture,rich resources and vast territory. Therefore, the spatial pattern of population in Xinjiang cannot be generalized with the whole country. With the proposal of the "Silk Road Economic Belt" initiative in 2013,Xinjiang has become a bridgehead for China to open to the west.On this occasion, studying the impact of Xinjiang's population spatial pattern on regional economic development can clearly sort out the current regional population and population. The geographical distribution of attributes and population migration and flow are conducive to reexamining the problems of population and economic development, and are of far-reaching significance for the sustainable development of Xinjiang's economy and society.First of all, this article analyzes the internal relationship and theoretical basis between population and economic development in detail, and introduces the concepts of general population spatial pattern and narrow population spatial pattern proposed by previous scholars,in order to analyze the internal relationship between Xinjiang's population and economy in more detail,so this article Starting with the generalized population spatial pattern covering population distribution, population structure and population migration, and separately analyzing their respective mechanisms of impact on economic development.Secondly,by combing the current situation of Xinjiang's population distribution, population structure and population migration,we can clearly understand the current situation and evolution trend of Xinjiang's population spatial pattern. Then,an empirical test is conducted on the spatial pattern of Xinjiang's population. In terms of population distribution, the regional center of gravity, geographic concentration, and population-economic coupling index of population and economy in Xinjiang are calculated and ranked in a grading manner;in terms of population structure, starting from the Solow model, through theoretical exploration and formula derivation, the population structure Divided into population age structure, employment structure,urban-rural structure and education structure, the four main structures that have an impact on the economy, and use a fixed effect model for regression analysis;in terms of population migration,in order to avoid interference with endogenous problems,a spatial cube Cheng group model, using generalized third-order least squares method for regression analysis. Finally,on this basis, countermeasures and suggestions were put forward to promote economic development by optimizing the spatial pattern of Xinjiang's population.Summarizing the research contents of the full text, the following conclusions can be drawn: First,Xinjiang's population distribution and economic development have a significant coupling effect. There are obvious coupling characteristics from the perspective of the whole of Xinjiang and the cities of various regions.Among them, the population of most regions is highly coupled with economic development, and the economic development of Urumqi,Karamay,Changji and Hami regions is ahead of the regional population.Scale;second, the economic growth effects of different population attribute structures in Xinjiang 's population structure are not the same, there is a negative economic growth effect in the age structure of the population, and the increase in the population dependency ratio hinders regional economic growth. In addition, the employment structure of the population,Urban-rural structure and education all have positive economic growth effects, because the reasonable distribution of population among the three industries, urbanization and the improvement of human capital will effectively promote regional economic growth;third,Xinjiang 's population migration and economic development There is a certain degree of spatial linkage between them. The population migration will promote the economic development of the region and neighboring regions. The pull of the regional economic development on the population not only increases the population migration in the region, but also has a certain effect on the neighboring regions.Conducive to the formation of a virtuous circle.Combining the conclusions drawn from the analysis, this article has obtained some policy implications in order to promote the optimization of the spatial pattern of Xinjiang's population and promote regional economic development.
