Social Network Structure,social Trust And Hani Households' Participating In Governance Performance Of Terrace Ecosystem

Effective management of terrace ecosystem is not only the key to promote agricultural civilization,but also an important way to enhance the sustainable development of agricultural resources.One of the main reasons that terrace ecosystem can't give full play to its complete function is that it can't effectively solve the problem of management.Market-oriented external intervention has injected vitality into the protection and development of the terrace ecosystem,but the key to the system is the participation of the owner,that is,the participation of local households in the management and protection of the terrace ecosystem.Because of the conflict between the attribute of terrace ecosystem and the households,the dilemma of self governance of terrace ecosystem will lead to the difficulty of households' participation in the behavior of self governance.In the same governance area,because the village elites have higher power advantage,opportunity consciousness,social skills and knowledge,it provides an effective way to optimize the behavior of households participating in management.Most of the rural areas in China have the nature of acquaintance society.The governance behavior of resource land households is embedded in various complex social networks.The research on the self governance of households must be combined with the relationship attribute of the behavior subject.The structure of social network is reflected in the number of relationships between households and village elites in self governance.If village elites are in an important position of social network,it reflects that they have the basic conditions that affect other social network nodes.Social trust determines the individual motivation of households to participate in the management of terrace ecosystem.Based on the level of social trust of households to the village elites,it affects the establishment of internal constraint mechanism and the achievement of effective cooperative behavior in the process of households' participation in the management of terrace ecosystem.It is not in a vacuum that village elites promote households' participation in the self governance of terrace ecosystem,but in a very complex social network,which can really change households' attitude and behavior in social contact.Therefore,it is of great significance to introduce the concept of network structure variables and social trust into the research on the behavior of village elites influencing households to participate in the self governance of terrace ecosystem from the perspective of social network.As a typical example of Chinese Agricultural Cultural Heritage,Hani rice terrace in Yunnan Province has become a research case of this paper.The rice terraced in Hani,Yunnan Province is around the construction and maintenance of the farming ecosystem.It is a complex ecosystem with the terraced farming system as the core,combined with the forest,water and other natural resources system as well as the village social system.The maintenance and operation of terrace ecosystem is directly related to the income of households and the use efficiency of resources,and plays an important role in the agricultural civilization and sustainable development of agricultural resources.Therefore,the research object of this paper is the self governance of households around the management with terrace ecosystem.First of all,this paper analyzes the basic situation of village elites' influence on households' participation in terrace ecosystem governance.Secondly,based on the index construction of social network structure variables and social trust,the index is measured by using the technology of social network analysis.Thirdly,using econometric model to analyze the effect of social network of village elites on households' participation in self governance of terrace ecosystem.Finally,Providing political suggestions for the process of village elites Influencing households' participation in self governance.The conclusions of this study are as follows:(1)As the leader of decision-making and action in resource management,village elites act on households in the same area through their influence.As a result,they combine originally scattered nodes into different social network structures.(2)In the network of self governance of Hani terrace ecosystem,the strong and weak ties between village elites and villagers are all important to improve the social trust of villagers.(3)The network position of households has an indirect impact on their self governance.The process of village elites influencing their participation in the self governance of terrace ecosystem through the social network structure must be based on the practical social trust between the two relationships.
