General Secretary Xi Jinping has made it clear that education is the foundation of the century-long plan,teachers are the foundation of education.Teachers are the foundation of development of education,It is also the key to accelerating the modernization of education,improving the quality of education,building a powerful country in education and running a satisfactory education for the people.Carrying out educational and teaching research is an important way to promote teachers' professional development and improve teachers' professional level.This study takes some senior high school biology teachers in Gansu Province as the research object,and teachers' teaching and research ability as the research topic,to understand the status quo of teachers' teaching and research ability,find problems,analyze reasons,and put forward strategies and Suggestions for improving the teaching and research ability of senior high school biology teachers.This research adopts the way of combination of questionnaire and interview survey,insight into the ordinary high school biology teachers' teaching research ability,through the research to the following conclusion: gansu province ordinary high school biology teachers in the cooperation and communication ability,research ability,observation ability,of the course material of biology knowledge ability of analysis,and the choice of research method has a better performance.Firstly,teachers' research ability in teaching,data collection ability and theory application ability need to be further improved.Secondly,teachers are weak in research ability,data processing and analysis ability,experimental in novation ability,achievement expression ability and problem determination ability.Third,teachers with high professional title,high education background and high teaching age show some advantages in teaching and research ability.Fourth,the teaching and research ability of urban school teachers are better than that town school teachers.Fifthly,the teaching and research ability of male teachers are better than that of female teachers.Through the research,the following Suggestions are put forward: the administrative departments of education should attach great importance to teachers' teaching research,strengthen the positive guidance of teachers' teaching research,strengthen the training of teachers' educational the ories and basicskills,develop thesystem of encouraging teachers to carry out teaching research.In terms of schools,firstly,the value of teaching research should be transferred positively;secondly,ascientific teacher training system should be established;thirdly,the management and evaluation mechanism of teaching research should be improved;fourthly,sufficient guarantee should be provided for teachers to carry out teaching research.In terms of teachers,the first is to establish the concept of lifelong learning;the second is to establish the goal of professional development and actively carry out teaching and research;the third is to expand the way of learning and comprehensively improve professional quality;and the fourth is to cultivate good teaching and research habits.
