There is a general consensus among educators at different times and all over the world that education should influence people from three aspects: Morality,Intelligence and physique.Physical education,as an important educational method that affects people's physical and mental health,should be paid more attention while the physical quality of college students are generally declining.To develop the further sports activities in colleges and universities,this paper takes the undergraduates of Nanjing University as research object,exploring the close relationship between college students' physical quality,general self-efficacy,academic self-efficacy,athletic self-efficacy and physical exercise by means of literature research,experimental methods,questionnaires,mathematical statistics,interviews and other research methods.Specifically,this paper first adopts the method of literature data to determine the research direction after a comparative analysis of relevant domestic and foreign literature;Meanwhile,the results of physical quality test to undergraduates in Nanjing university were collected by experimental methods;Then the questionnaire survey and statistical software SPSS 21.0 were used to carry out correlation analysis on the amount of physical exercise,the score of physical quality test and the level of self-efficacy in three different fields.Combined with the interview method,this paper also explores how the undergraduates in NJU view the the impact of physical exercise on their health and academic performance.The results of this study show that: first,there is a significant positive correlation among college students' physical exercise,self-efficacy and physical quality.Furthermore,there is a significant positive correlation between physical exercise and college students' physical quality;the intensity of physical exercise is significantly and positivelycorrelated with general self-efficacy,athletic self-efficacy,and academic self-efficacy;the length of physical exercise is significantly positively correlated with general self-efficacy and athletic self-efficacy;the frequency of physical exercise is generally correlated with general self-efficacy and academic self-efficacy.Secondly,there is a positive correlation between general self-efficacy,athletic self-efficacy and academic self-efficacy.Furthermore,the general self-efficacy has remarkable positive correlation with academic self-efficacy and athletic self-efficacy,while academic self-efficacy was positively correlated with athletic self-efficacy.Thirdly,there is a significant difference between active and inactive students in athletic self-efficacy,but there is little difference between general self-efficacy and academic self-efficacy.Fourthly,the students' final grades in physical education class were positively correlated with their athletic self-efficacy,but not significantly correlated with their academic self-efficacy.
