| Every 3 percent increases of employee satisfaction can lower 5%of the talent drain,reduce 10%of the operating cost,meanwhile,it can increase 25%-65%the labor productivity,reported by the survey Harvard Business Weekly conducted.In other words,the staffs working enthusiasm and creativity can influence the performance of the objectives directly,and it can determine the core competitiveness of the enterprise.Based on report's data above,this research focuses on hotel employee satisfaction.Firstly,it reviews the connotation of employee satisfaction,comments on the measurement and influencing factors,compares concepts and theories that are related.Secondly,it uses questionnaire investigation method to analyses the empirical analysis of Yiwu Kingdom Hotel.The obtained data are analyzed by SPSS13.0 software in descriptive,reliability,factor,and variance ways,as well as other statistical methods.Finally it comes to the conclusion that Yiwu Kingdom Hotel Employee's job satisfaction is relatively high.The work reward has the lowest degree of satisfaction while the guest relations have the highest degree of satisfaction among four influencing factors.These factors are work reward,the guest relations,the work group and the working background.The factors such as which department the staff belongs to,the length of service,the position,the degree of education and the turnover intention are significantly related to job satisfaction.The degree of satisfaction of the employees in the back office is higher than the ones in the front office.The employees in General Manager Office and Human Resource have the highest degree of satisfaction.The length of service is in proportion to the degree of satisfaction,the degree of satisfaction grows with the length of service.The employee's position is in proportion to the degree of satisfaction,the higher the employee's position is,the higher degree of satisfaction he has.The degree of education is inversely proportional to the degree of satisfaction,the higher degree of education an employee gets,the lower degree of satisfaction he has.The turnover intention is inversely proportional to the degree of satisfaction,the higher turnover intention an employee has,the lower degree of satisfaction he gets.According to this conclusion,the study puts forward the following countermeasures to improve hotel employee satisfaction:to recruit suitable staff,to improve staff return,to increase staff's interests in their work,to make the staff feel concerned,respected and understood,to provide opportunities for the development of occupation,to cultivate long-term employees,to give employees proper autonomy,to create a comfortable working environment,to promote the harmony of customers and employees,and to construct advanced enterprise culture. |
