The insurance industry as a national or regional economic booster and social stabilizer,has become an important measure of national or regional industrial structure optimization and upgrading of the comprehensive competitiveness,so in 13 th Five-Year the beginning of the year,the government of national and Shandong province make the relevant instructions to the development for the insurance industry,Therefore,to evaluate the development status of the insurance industry as the research object and analyzes the research value of the more important to carry out empirical,this article based on the Shandong province of the insurance industry development goal,constructs the evaluation index system of the development of the insurance industry in Shandong Province,to a certain degree rich the theoretical research for the development of the insurance industry,reference analysis of the change in the development of the insurance industry in developed countries experience and suggestions for the quantitative empirical research from simple qualitative,in order to more accurately grasp the development status of the objective area of the insurance industry and promote the government and enterprises to speed up the guide and optimize the development of the insurance industry.In this paper,we first analyzed the insurance industry and the insurance industry evaluation of relevant literature and theoretical basis,determine the research object,analyzes the current development of the insurance industry in Shandong province and the existing problems.The above analysis as the basis,from the economic support,market structure,enterprise strength,rural services and financial support five aspects to construct a set based on the development of the insurance industry in Shandong province and the evaluation index system,combine entropy method and grey correlation analysis,evaluation and analysis on the t insurance industry development of 2004-2014 in Shandong Province,and draw the conclusion: the development of the insurance industry in Shandong province shows an overall upward trend,indicating the development of government and enterprises in the face of the insurance industry from all parties and efforts to improve.According to the results of the analysis put forward some suggestions: deepen the reform;improve inno-vation;agriculture;personnel training;strengthen supervision.The innovation of this paper lies in:(1)based on combing the basic theory and related literature mainly on the analysis of the main functions of the insurance industry and how to strengthen the insurance industry in Shandong Province,the concept of evaluation into the development of the insurance industry,through the qualitative analysis of the development of insurance industry in Shandong province to build evaluation index system.(2)the actual data using entropy grey relation projection model for empirical research,from qualitative analysis to quantitative analysis,make an accurate evaluation of the insurance industry in Shandong Province during 2004-2014 development,provide ideas and suggestions for future development.
