Efficiency Study Of R&D Activities Of Industrial Enterprises In Hebei Province

Research and Development activities are the foundation for enterprises to conduct technological innovation activities,the key factors for enterprises to enhance the capability of independent innovation,and the guarantee for enterprises to obtain long-term competitive advantage in the ever-changing market environment.Industrial enterprises are the main part of R&D activities,which play an important role in economic development.Consequently,making the systemic analysis and comprehensive assessment on input-output performance of R&D activities of industrial enterprises in Hebei Province,finding out the deficiencies of R&D activities of industrial enterprises in Hebei Province and the causes of these issues can contribute to a proper understanding of their own circumstances of research and development.Simultaneously,it has great theoretical importance and realistic significance in adopting valid research and development strategy scientifically,improving the R&D intensity and efficiency of industrial enterprises,maintaining and improving competitive advantage,and finally achieving the maximum of economic and social benefits.Firstly,define the conception of the performance of R&D and make a simple classification of R&D activities.Secondly,construct the evaluation index system of R&D input-output performance of industrial enterprises in Hebei Province according to the principle of input-output performance and actual operating circumstances,which is formed of two inputs and four outputs.Thirdly,utilize the factual data to make a comprehensive and systematic analysis of the present situation of R&D activities of all industrial enterprises and the major sectors in manufacturing industry of Hebei Province from two aspects of input and output,and then find out the deficiencies existing in R&D activities of industrial enterprises.Fourthly,use the DEA method to appraise and analyze the input-output performance of R&D activities of industrial enterprises of 30 provinces,municipalities and autonomous regions(except Tibet)and the major sectors in manufacturing industry of Hebei Province,and then find the reasons of low efficiency of input-output performance of R&D activities of industrial enterprises in Hebei Province.Fifthly,put forward countermeasures to improve the efficiency of input-output performance of R&D activities of industrial enterprises combining with the current status of R&D activities of industrial enterprises in Hebei Province.
