A Study On Operations Improvement Of Pharmaceutical Group Company A Considering New GSP Conditions

New rules of GSP(Good Supply Practice)are triggering more requirements on the operations management of pharmaceutical companies.The pharmaceutical industry is undergoing profound change.GSP stands for "The Drugs Managing Quality Management Standard" in China.Pharmaceuticals traceability,storage&transportation of vaccines,and unified business license is the three main content of GSP 2016 edition.It formulates detailed regulations on how to implement drug traceability for pharmaceutical trading enterprises,which brings both opportunity and challenge to small and medium-sized enterprises(SMEs).Pharmaceutical Group Company A,locates at Longyan,Fujian,is a typical medium-sized enterprise.Based on PDCA cycle and re-engineering theory,this paper discusses the case of Pharmaceutical Group Company A by analyzing the organization structure,management,operation process and the distribution process.Following the roadmap of solution design,this paper brings up re-engineering plan of internal processes,and connects it with external market by carrying out supply chain value added services.The purpose of above changes is to raise the enterprise's market share and improve the core competitiveness.The re-engineering plan also considers the competition of the industry and the future development of Pharmaceutical Group Company A.Through the case analyses,this study finds out there are two steps for medium-sized pharmaceutical enterprises.Firstly,enterprises should pay attentions to the reconstruction of internal process,by cutting-off default value link and setting effective internal supply chain.Secondly,enterprises can set up flexible alliance model through SAAS system,combining the power of small,monomer drugstores and other external market parties,to assures multi-win situation.
