Social Capital And Social Entrepreneurial Orientation

Social entrepreneurship,as a new type of entrepreneurship,has become an important way to promote social progress and has gained attention in the current public management field,especially in the innovation and entrepreneurship research.Social entrepreneurship and commercial entrepreneurship also need to deal with the external environment to launch a series of activities such as innovation and risk management.Entrepreneurial orientation is not only the internal driver of commercial entrepreneurship,but also the foundation of success for social entrepreneurship.Social entrepreneurs,as founders or executors of social enterprises,play a pivotal role in the social entrepreneurial activities and the daily operation and management process of social enterprises.They are important targets for social entrepreneurship research in nowadays.Although there are a lot of research on entrepreneurial orientation in the business field,the research on entrepreneurial orientation in the social entrepreneurship field is rather inadequate which has mostly focused on the connotation and measurement of social entrepreneurship orientation.In short,there are less researches on the influencing factors of social entrepreneurship orientation.Based on the logical order of "proposed problem—literature review—put forward hypothesis—empirical research—conclusion and prospect",this paper concentrate on the impact factors of social entrepreneurship orientation.What's more,it discusses the relationship between social capital and social entrepreneurship orientation from the perspective of social entrepreneurs,introduces entrepreneurial self-efficacy as a moderating variable,and analyzes the relationship between social entrepreneurial capital,entrepreneurial self-efficacy,and social entrepreneurship orientation.The research has certain theoretical and practical significance on social entrepreneurship.The results show that both of the social entrepreneurs' bonding and bridging social capital have the inverted "U" relationship with social entrepreneurial orientation,and entrepreneurial self-efficacy positive moderates the relationship between social entrepreneurs' bridging social capital and social entrepreneurship orientation.According to the empirical results,the paper put forward the corresponding public management inspiration from the perspective of government departments and social entrepreneurs,explained the limitations of the paper and give the direction of future research.
