A Comprehensive Evaluation On The Competitiveness Of The Main Tourism Cities In Thailand

Nowadays,the development of the tourism industry in the Asia Pacific region has been very rapid over the years.In Southeast Asia,Thailand has become a famous tourist destination and has always been known as "Asia's most exotic nation";its blue sea and clear blue skies,the swaying coconuts giving a tropical feeling,majestic and magnificent monuments and temples,the simple tranquility in the countryside,lush vegetation of primitive forest so solemnly serene and the atmosphere of Buddhism and the hospitality of the people of Thailand,with its unique style of architecture and cultural background,Thailand attracts tens of millions of visitors every year.The tourism cities of Thailand are different in their own ways,including Bangkok,Ayutthaya,Kanchanaburi,Sukhothai,Chonburi house(Pattaya),Chiang Mai,Chiang Rai,Surat Thani(Koh Samui),Phuket Island and Krabi(phi phi).These are claimed to be the most attractive provinces in Thailand.This research is in relation to the study of tourism with reference to the competitiveness evaluation model and other related research methods.From the selection of relevant indicators from the level of development in each city including tourism related resources and services,the 3 one-level index expanded into 9 two-level index.From this,the evaluation index data was collected and then used to calculate the weight of the evaluation index grading method from the analysis of the competitiveness of the maximum difference between each city's perspectives.Finally,used the comprehensive evaluation to evaluate the development situation of 10 tourism cities in Thailand.
