An Empirical Study On The Industrial Structure Evolution Of Liaoning's Manufacturing Industry

The manufacturing industry in Liaoning was formed from the beginning of the founding of the people's Republic to the heyday of the early 80 s of last century,and then to the current development of the bottleneck.At the moment,it is necessary to adjust and upgrade the structure of the manufacturing industry.The development of manufacturing industry in Liaoning has its inherent rule.There are many factors in the manufacturing industry change,and the industrial structure plays an important role in it.There are various paths for the revitalization of manufacturing industry in Liaoning Province,and the adjustment and upgrading of industrial structure is an inevitable choice.Taking the development of Liaoning manufacturing industry as the starting point,this paper uses the theory of evolution and industrial structure to study and analyze the evolution track of the major subdivision industries in the manufacturing industry of Liaoning province and the advantages of the structure and relative competitiveness of the subdivided industries.Firstly,this paper expounds the origin and core theories of evolutionary economics and the changes of main ideas,the core theories and main ideas of industrial structure,and sorts out the classic industrial classification.Secondly,according to the factor intensive classification in Liaoning Province,the 20 major manufacturing industries were classified and defined,and then introduced,output,profit,cost profit rate,fixed asset investment and other indicators,using Liaoning province 20 major manufacturing industry in 2003 and 2016 panel data,the evolution of manufacturing different types of Liaoning the manufacturing industry and the track are analyzed.Thirdly,partial departure share method is applied to analyze the regional advantages and relative competitiveness of Liaoning province's manufacturing type structure and manufacturing subdivision industry in 2003--2016,and put forward the concept of Liaoning's manufacturing advantage industry.The results showed that in the different level of structure,capital and technology intensive manufacturing industry competitiveness is obviously superior to the labor-intensive manufacturing industry;in the sub sector level,the comparative advantage of labor-intensive manufacturing industry is the food processing industry,metal products industry and metal products industry;comparative advantage in capital intensive manufacturing industry the petroleum processing,coking and nuclear fuel processing industry,chemical materials and chemical products manufacturing,ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing industry,non-ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing industry;comparative advantage industries and technology intensive manufacturing industry is the general equipment manufacturing industry,special equipment manufacturing industry,and rail transportation equipment manufacturing industry.Finally,from a general perspective,the development of manufacturing industry in Liaoning is at a critical stage of development,dominated by capital and technology intensive,and gradually changing to technology intensive.After a relatively systematic and in-depth study,the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions for the adjustment and optimization of the industrial structure of the manufacturing industry in Liaoning are put forward.
