Education Investment,Urban-rural Income Difference And New Urbanization Research In China

With the development of urbanization,we find that the new urbanization compared with the "old" urbanization,the "new" is mainly manifested to pay more attention to the coordinated development between the urban and rural areas in the process of the urbanization development,to realize a qualitative change people as well as the modernization of rural urbanization.In the development process of urbanization we found many problems in conformity with the original target,one of the most obvious,the most prominent problem is the urban and rural residents' income gap,has violated the new target of urbanization.In order to study the causes of the widening income gap between urban and rural areas,and the influence of this phenomenon for the urbanization construction in the process of the construction of the new type of urbanization in China.This paper firstly from the tendency of the income gap between urban and rural areas and the two aspects of the structure of the income of urban and rural residents,the eastern,central and western regions in China,describe the current situation of urban and rural residents income gap,and then analyze the factors contribute to this phenomenon.The study found that the urban-rural income gap also showed great differences due to different economic development levels and natural endowments in different regions.This difference is not only reflected in the eastern,central and western China,but also between different prefectures in the same region.Secondly,by analyzing the relationship between education investment and urban-rural income gap,this paper finds that education investment helps to narrow the urban-rural income gap.Then,the paper analyzes how education investment plays a role in narrowing the income gap between urban and rural areas from three perspectives: human capital stock,education rate of return and production efficiency difference.Finally,the paper analyzes the influence of widening income gap between urban and rural areas on the development of new-type urbanization and the choice of urbanization mode.Again,according to the above theoretical analysis,this article selects during 2005-2015 as samples,the selection of education investment levels,the urban-rural income gap,and other variables as explanatory variables,the urbanization level is as the explained variable to the empirical analysis,validation of education investment levels and the influence of income gap between urban and rural areas to the urbanization level.From the regression results can be found: both from the national level and regional level,education investment plays a positive role in promoting the urbanization,the income gap between urban and rural areas plays a negative role to the development of urbanization,narrowing the urban-rural income gap is conducive to the further development of urbanization.Therefore,in the process of education investment to pay attention to the coordination between urban and rural areas,appropriate intensify investment in rural education resources,improve the rural resident's income,gradually narrow the urban-rural income gap,such is conducive to the healthy development of urbanization.Finally,based on the empirical results and conclusions above,put forward four Suggestions of construction during the new type of urbanization in China,namely,increasing investment in education,optimizing the income distribution system,optimizing the industrial structure,and increasing the intensity of social investment in fixed assets,to a certain amount of power for the construction of the new type of urbanization in China.
