Research On Relationship Between Foreign Trade Structure And Industrial Structure Based On Panel Data

In the eastern coastal areas of China,with the changing of economy from high-speed to high quality and the external dependence continuously increasing,the impact of foreign trade on the eastern coastal areas of china is also increasing.Therefore,in the context of the optimization and upgrading of the industrial structure,it is of great significance to study the relationship between the foreign trade structure and the industrial structure in order to promote the development of the high-quality economy and the transformation and upgrading of industrial structure.This paper mainly studies the relationship between the foreign trade structure and the industrial structure of the eastern coastal areas from a theoretical and empirical perspective.The specific main contents include: the first part of the introduction and related theories.Firstly,the research background and significance of this paper are introduced and the relevant research literatures are reviewed.Secondly,relevant theories of foreign trade structure and industrial structure are combed,and the ways and mechanisms of mutual influence between external structure and industrial structure are analyzed.The second part analyzes the evolution process of foreign trade structure and industrial structure in the eastern coastal areas from 1996 to 2015 from the view of reality.In the third part,from the empirical point of view,using the relevant data of the changes in the external structure and industrial structure of the eastern coastal areas from 1996 to 2015,empirical studies were conducted on the relationship between the two.At the same time,through the establishment of an econometric model,the analysis of changes in the industrial structure caused by external trade factors in the eastern coastal areas and the influence of industrial factors on the structural changes in foreign trade are analyzed.The fourth part is the countermeasure suggestion and conclusion.The empirical research results show that:(1)there exist a long-term stable relationship between the changing of industrial structure and the import and export structure and a mutual cause-and-effect relationship between the industrial structure and the export structure in the eastern coastal areas.The change of import structure is the cause of the change of industrial structure.However,the change of industrial structure is not the cause of the change of import structure(2)from the point of view of export,the increase in the exports of industrial manufactured goods is conducive to the increase in the proportion of the secondary industry,which is detrimental to the increase in the proportion of the primary and tertiary industries;and the increase in the export volume of primary products can promote the first and second levels.The increase in the proportion of industries cannot promote the increase in the proportion of the tertiary industry.From the perspective of imports,the imports of industrial manufactured goods and primary products are not conducive to the increase in the proportion of the primary industry.On the contrary,they can promote the increase in the proportion of the secondary industry.The increase in the imports of industrial manufactured goods is conducive to promoting the proportion of the tertiary industry.The increase in imports of primary products is not conducive to the increase in the proportion of tertiary industries.(3)The growth of primary,secondary and tertiary industries can be saved in the proportion of exports of industrial manufactured goods,but it cannot promote the increase in the proportion of primary product exports.The development of the primary industry is conducive to the increase in the proportion of imports of industrial manufactured goods.The development of the secondary and tertiary industries is not conducive to the increase in the proportion of industrial manufactured imports.The development of the primary industry cannot promote the increase in the proportion of imports of primary products.The development of the secondary and tertiary industries can promote the increase in the proportion of imports of primary products.Therefore,to achieve coordinated economic development in the eastern coastal areas must be improved from the following aspects :optimizes the structure of export goods,improves the promotion of export goods structure to the upgrading of industrial structure,optimizes the structure of import goods,improves the role of import goods structure in the upgrading of industrial structure,further optimizes the structure of industry,and better realizes the positive interaction between import and export goods structure.
