Food safety issues have been highly concerned by the whole society and have risen to the level of public safety.As an important part of food safety,food safety supervision plays a key role in protecting the safety and health of the public.As the provincial capital of Zhejiang Province,Hangzhou has a large number of food companies with small scales and varying levels of management.Resolving food safety supervision issues in Hacngzhou is both a need to ensure the safety of food for the citizens of Hangzhou and an initiative to help the further development of the food industry in Hangzhou.This article first introduced the relevant theories of food safety supervision,and introduced the status quo of food safety supervision in Hangzhou from three aspects:regulatory body,regulatory object,and citizen satisfaction.Based on Hangzhou's actual situation,the problems in the supervision of food safety in Hangzhou were summarized from five aspects:emphasis,organizational structure,supervisory ability,division of responsibilities,and external factors.At the same time,these issues were analyzed.Finally,on the basis of referring to the supervisory experience of developed countries,comprehensively applying market failure theories and regulatory theory,put forward the supervision of food safety in Hangzhou from five aspects: strengthening work supervision,optimizing organizational structure,improving supervision ability,clarifying supervision duties,and weakening external factors.
