With the ongoing development of global economic integration,all countries are stepping up their efforts to promote diversified transnational cooperation in order to seek mutual benefits to a greater degree.Originated in China in 2010,the new concept of “cross-border tourism cooperation zone” is a new method derived from the cross-border economic cooperation zone to promote tourism development in the border regions.As a mode of “subregional economic cooperation”,this concept contributes to the gradual opening up of our country and has important implications for the social economy,security,and cultural development of the border regions.Among the various programs for the construction of a cross-border tourism cooperation zone,Detian-Banyue cross-border tourism cooperation zone studied in this paper is such a pilot program.This paper focuses on the construction plan of Detian-Banyue cross-border tourism cooperation zone.First of all,a brief overview of the construction plan of the cooperation zone will be presented,including the program's overall plan,construction projects,tourism infrastructure construction and environmental protection and control planning.Then,this paper will outline the related theories and construction effects of the cross-border tourism cooperation zone,and list classic cross-border tourism cooperation cases both at home and abroad.Afterward,from the perspective of relevant theories,effects,and field investigations respectively,this paper will conduct analysis of the construction plans implemented by the government for the existing cooperation zones,demonstrating the feasibility and deficiencies of such construction plans.Finally,for the problems existing in the construction plans,some countermeasures will be proposed.
