In recent years,due to the globalization of economy and trade,the interaction between countries and countries has become more frequent and closer.In order to develop economy,participate in the trend of economic globalization,improve the competitiveness of domestic products and avoiding high tariffs,more and more countries have started direct foreign investment,especially in developing countries.After World War II,all kinds of trade protectionism began to emerge.Developed countries began to implement strategic foreign trade policies.In order to protect domestic childish industries,developing countries responded to the trade policies of developed countries and imposed various tariff and non-tariff barriers.The OFDI replaced some of the country's foreign trade and gradually became an important form of a country's participation in the international economy.Under the background of the rapid development of economic globalization,the relationship between outward foreign direct investment and foreign trade has become more and more closely and increasingly complex.Outward foreign direct investment is no longer a mere alternative or complementary to foreign trade.However,it is more of an alternative,complementary crossover fusion.Since the beginning of the 21 st century,the upsurge of OFDI has been increasing in developing countries.High-tech manufacturing is increasingly drawing attention from all countries.High-tech manufacturing is crucial to the economic development of various countries,and exports of high-tech manufacturing products are diversified.The level shows the status and role of countries in the global economy;In addition,Research on the Influence of OFDI on the Diversification of High-tech Manufacturing Products' export is relatively small,and studying the relationship between OFDI and the export of high-end manufacturing products diversification is of great significance to improving the diversification level of high-tech manufacturing exports..This article takes the BRICS countries as the representative,first analyzes the mechanism of OFDI's influence on the diversification of product exports,and then studies the status and characteristics of foreign direct investment in BRICS and the status quo of export of high-tech manufacturing products,and adopts an empirical model.Toanalyze the effect of OFDI on the diversification of exports of high-tech manufacturing products of the BRICS countries.This article uses the HHI index to measure the diversification level of high-end manufacturing products as an explanatory variable,and uses OFDI as the main influencing factor,introducing labor productivity,R&D input and other factors as the impact variables,and exploring OFDI pairs through empirical analysis.The impact of diversification of high-tech manufacturing exports.The empirical results show that OFDI in different countries has a different impact on the diversification of high-end manufacturing exports,while the level of diversification in high-tech manufacturing exports is also affected by factors such as the level of domestic economic development,labor productivity,and R&D investment.Developing countries should select suitable investment regions,industries and scale according to their own economic development level and industrial structure,and at the same time increase labor productivity and R&D investment to improve the diversification level of high-tech manufacturing exports in the country.
