With the acceleration of globalization,in order to create more “attached” mobile capital opportunities for the country and the region, the national and local governments have accelerated the reconstruction of scales, reshaped the “place space” in a globalized environment, and created different spatial production units to achieve national development strategies and regions through production, reconstruction, and competition at specific spatial scales. For example, the reforms of decentralization and centralization since China's reform and opening up,various regional administrative and political adjustments, and regional development strategies such as “coastal development and opening up” can all be classified as scale reconstructions.Special economic zones,state-level new districts, and development zones are special powers and spatial patterns produced in this process. In this regard, experts and scholars who pay close attention to the reconstruction of scale have proposed various analytical frameworks and research paths. However,no matter what kind of scale reorganization,it is to change the essence of the combination of power and space in the region. However, for a long time, the academic community has not yet explored regional economic development from the perspective of the combination of power and space.Based on this, this article mainly focuses on the influence of different combinations of power and space on regional economic development.According to the characteristics of China's government resource allocation power operation and the attributes of space status, the allocation of high and low resource allocation rights and strategic and non-strategic space are divided.Furthermore, the “high resource allocation right + strategic space”,“lowresource allocation right + non-strategic space” under heterogeneous state, and “highresource allocation right + non-strategic space” in the heterogeneous state are divided, and Low resource allocation rights + strategic space.Through four typical empirical cases, the impact of different powers and spatial combinations on regional economic development is compared and analyzed. The study finds that under a certain stage of economic development,a high allocation strategy portfolio will easily lead to the growth pole of regional economic development and drive the development of related industries;a low allocation strategy portfolio will result in lower development due to the inefficient use of strategic space resources. The platform is continuously dissipated;the high-level non-strategic combination is just the opposite.Although the initial construction investment costs are high,it will gradually attract economic development factors due to the advantages of high-resource allocation, and will gradually become new growth as the strategic space shifts.Extreme potential;low-level non-strategic combination is to survive in the cracks, development is relatively slow.Further advancement can find the intriguing regional economic development of “power + space = productivity”.
